The YMW_ _ K registration numbers were issued in Wiltshire June & July 1972, making Dick Lovett the obvious supplying dealer. Looking at it more closely my best guess is that the chassis number of the car is 03868. Originally azzuro blue and bought by Dick Lovett in June 1972. I know that the online Dino Register says this car was registered MYA69L, but that registration number is actually on 04518. And interestingly for me, this is the first Dino I ever sold back in 1984 ! Mark Shannon
You are spot on there Mark. I should have twigged as I've seen 04518 a few times, most recently at the body specialist I use.
Here is my car back on its first outing from Maranello concessionaires in August 1974 BR, Jez Image Unavailable, Please Login
FIAT Dino Spider tail/brake/turn light lenses. I imagine that someone replaced the buckets & rewired for running/stop lights below and turn signals above on all four lenses. I wonder what the motivation was, personal preference or...? Does anyone recall the history on this car? 'just curious, Coop

It's not a 206...not sure what it is. No 206 exposed gas filler, bizarre front bumpers, totally wrong front grille....
Not likely the same car. The interior on the B&W pic looks a lot lighter than in the colour one that is blue.
I too wondered if the same car when looking at the pics on the Ferrari web site due to the blinkers and bumper. See here: Ferrari Dino 206 GT (1967) - Ferrari.com Image Unavailable, Please Login
This one was taken by the organizers of Dream Car Days in France a few weeks back (120 luxury cars were present) and posted on their Facebook page (I take no credit). Alas I had to leave just when these two appeared towards the end of the event and I was no longer taking photos at that point in time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Found this picture on FB, apparantly it was owned by Mr Bendiksen (a well known norwegian musician). Sold new in Norway to the swiss ambassador throug Clay Rigazzoni, sold out of Norway to the middle east in 87. Apparantly serial no 1672 (all info from FB). Image Unavailable, Please Login
The comments were from Mr Bendiksens son, and there was one owner (Stig Hagfors) between the ambassador and him so either it was resprayed or he remembered the chassisnumber wrong. There was also another photo posted of another Dino (L-series) that apparantly has been here since the early 70s and is now in a private museum: Image Unavailable, Please Login
