Hey everyone, in case you were not aware, Terry Girone and Steve Kellett are together again at Old World Motorcars in Tucker, GA. Ironically the shop is in the old FAF Motorcars location, so there is plenty of Ferrari history there. Anyway, I took my car to them for maintenance and was blown away at how nice and clean the shop is. Terry Girone has been working on Ferraris since the 60s!! Terry and Steve also worked at FAF Motorcars. I just wanted to share some pics with you guys.

I highly recommend Old World Motorcars, especially if you have a 1995 or older Ferrari. HATS OFF TO TERRY, GEORGE and STEVE!! Thanks guys!

I'd make the trip just to see the DBSV8. Is this the location where the new cars were sold, or the location they also had across the street from the showroom?

Hey all, no this is the actual location of the showroom where they sold new Ferraris back in the day. I've probably been there 100 times!

My car developed a miss in lower RPMs, so I took it upon myself to "attempt" to fix it myself. I replaced the spark plug extenders to no avail. I had them go through the ignition system. They are also installing the Birdman fuse blocks. I am excited to get it back.

Yes that Aston DBS V8 is fantastic and so rare. That place is like a candy store. I feel comfortable bringing my 308 to a place that actively cares for 250 GTs, Lussos, Boxers, Muiras, 308s, 328s, 348s, 355s, Daytonas, 330s I can go on. I've seen them all there.

I was there some 4 or 5 years ago or so to talk to Terry about you guessed it .....Meraks. He was very helpful and took me to the back storage area to see a, you guessed it, a Merak. Next to the Merak sat a Jaguar XJ 220....not bad company to keep...for the Jag I mean. Terry at that time had a 280Z and George had a 300Z. So, hey those guys are tops in my book. Yes, the whole establishment was impeccably clean and organized. Definitely worth a visit. I used to visit FAF on a regular basis back in the late 70s to get my Exotica fix. It was a great place then, and I suspect it is a better place now. Glad to still see it in action. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

    Ciao,
    George

The shop is incredibly clean and these are two guys that know their stuff. I was there a month or so ago to ask Terry a question and was blown away by the place. It is great to see the location being put to good use.

I have seen some very rare cars in the Old World Motorcars shop, 250 Lusso, 275 GTB/4, 365 GTC/4, 308s, Diablos, Countachs, XK120s I can go on and on. They have a good looking website too: www.oldworldmotorcars.com

Terry still has his 280Z and George still has his 300Z.

Looks like we are planning a little get together at Old World Motorcars perhaps in March/April. Will keep this thread posted on the exact details. If you have not seen this place, you should check it out. Many of you probably have fond memories of that location from years back when it was FAF Motorcars. I remember seeing a brand new 288 GTO there parked outside, I almost tripped and fell down, I was in LOVE. Anyway, more info to follow!
