    Over in the Aussie section we got chatting about long term ownership which got me wondering - how many long term (say 15 years or more) owners have had their cars since new? Also counting cars that were bought new and passed on in the family. I know of several 308s in this category, but has it happened with other models?

    I have had my Scirocco (click my garage) 30 years this month.

    Test drove it 31 July and one day later I was on my way home. I was 17. Aug 1, 1985.

    Bought my Alfa Nov 1996, My Ferrari Sept 1997, and my VW Touareg was brand new when I drove it home Aug 2005.

    They are all still in my driveway.

    Well I did post with Ferrari in mind, but it's still interesting (to me) that someone keeps any car long term.

    67 Vette 327/350 Conv red/black, hardtop, in Nov 68. Original softtop today in good shape. couple of laps at Sebring in 1970, Corv Mag July 2014. Restored Exterior only. 75k
    72 C/4 in 1996. Mosport, Watkins Glen, Sebring, Pocono, Summit Point, Palm Beach, Laguna Seca. Restored recently. 59k
    Honda metallic green, K3 750 in 1974. still going strong. Orig. condition, 23k
    Vespa 2004 1100 miles used as transportation and touring while towing Ferrari. Sits nicely in front of the car. Orig.

    2000 Honda S2000 - bought new, still my daily driver (but I don't commute far). Has ~36,000 miles on it. Car is 100% original, except for the plastic back window which was replaced this year, and wear items like tires, and in excellent shape. Also have the matching OEM hard top.

    I like the idea of the Vespa as 'support vehicle' for the Fcar!

    Had the Lusso from 1970-2000. Have my little Tracker from 1998 to present.

    My buddy has a 365GT 2+2 that his father bought new in 1967, it sits dormant in storage but I do poke him now and then about pulling it out and getting her running. Maybe someday.

    My dad bought a 1960 356B roadster in April 1960, and still has it today. he is the only owner on record from the car. bought from Ed Hugus as European Sportscars in South Hills Pittsburgh.

    serviced there and at Chuck Stoddards for its entire life. has about 40K miles from new.
