I THOUGHT I KNEW MOST OF THE "FERRARI" VS 'FIAT" DIFFERENCES FIAT BUILT INTO THE 2.4 L ENGINES, BUT I WAS JUST TOLD THE OIL PRESSURE SENDERS ARE VERY DIFFERENT AND OPERATE THEIR RESPECTIVE GAUGES IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS (IE CROSS APPLYING GAUGE OR SENDER WILL DISPLAY DIMINISHED OIL PRESSURE WITH HIGHER RPM AND HIGHER PRESSURE AT LOWER RPM). CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS? IF SO I HAVE A VERY LIGHTY (TWICE) USED SENDER FOR SALE...............

simple test: ground the wire to the sender w/key on and watch what direction the gauge moves. Momentary touch will not damage gauge.

sorry, haven't had my coffee yet
Hook wire of your car to gauge whose polarity you want to test and blow air into sending unit and see direction of needle movement w/ignition on.
