These are the seats used in 360 Challenge race cars. In carbon fiber it is very light and stiff. It gives excellent lateral support for racing and trackday events, but almost non-existant padding for overall comfort.

Since there is no tilting mechanism, access to area behind the seat is restricted. Do make sure you get new stock since FIA rating is only valid for 5 years from date of manufacture which is shown on a sticker affixed to the seat.

I remember reading somewhere before that on 355 Challange a slightly smaller version was used due to clearance issue between seat shoulder and side window. OMP now makes several sizes so make sure you get one that fits you as well as your car. You might also want to consider a model with lateral head protection. I have them in my 360C but they may not fit in a 355.

That's a similar seat that I have in my 355, they are great. They will not bolt to your factory seat brackets and the ones from OMP to fit those to your car are not adjustable in the same sense that your factory seats adjust. Believe me you will not fall out of those unless you tip yourself upside down hahaha. Regards, Vern

Almost forgot; the seats in mine are "small" and they barely fit I would do some measurin' before you put out that 2000.00 or so per seat. Just a thought

I installed OMP ARS seat in my 348. You will need the challenge mounting bracket ($600+ from Ferrari) or fabricate you own. The side mount ARS seat just barely fit on the sliders, but it was way to high. My head was touching the roof.

I used the 355 challenge mounting bracket (found a used one for $100). The ARS seat is narrower than the big. The ARS just fits the mountig plate. I had to special order OMP side mounts as well.

The 348 has more than enough lateral room, but because the floor mounting points are so close together I was limited to the narrower seat.

OMP makes a plate that will widen out the factory bolt distance(hope that makes sense). My problem with anything wider than what I have is top part of the seats will touch and on the other side they already interfere with the roll cage.

Also, I do take it, it would be better to put in OMP over Sparco and Recaro correct?

You can't mailorder race seats unless you plant street use. If you track you really need to try them with your race suit and HANS if you wear one. You can custom mount and may need to with no sliders because of your height. You are taller with helmet so the clearance gets real tight. For dual use forget the head curtain seats you will have no visibility and difficulty getting out of a 355. Go with proeprly mounted L and R side nets with traditional race seat and that will help save you but not as well as full containment. Its a compromise. You will need to rake the seat to get cleanace most likely something around 20 degrees
