TIA!
FWIW, when I make the move to a Scud it will either be white or black. My current 430 is red and I think it will be a bit redundant even though the car is much different. You will always have a group of buyers who don't want a red one. If YOU want one of the three colors mentioned, don't let it prevent YOU from getting the one YOU want. Catch my drift
On F430GT's pricing model... Bianco Avus = +$5K Silverstone = +$5K Yellow = -$5K Silver = -$5K Black and Red (Scuderia or Rosso) = neutral value Other's such as Bianco Fuji (pearlescent) would fetch a greater premium
White scuds with black wheels look money. I am also a fan of white 458s, if they have the black roof option. These are my first white appreciations since the Testarossa. White on a Ferrari is less flash and more class, and look equally fantastic in day or night settings, where even rosso scuderia loses impact at night. Yellow is good at night as well, but less class and back to flash.
Agree on the white Scud, simply looks amazing! Best color IMO. I was looking for a white 430 spider for some time,...impossible to find. Ended up with a black spider. HKpooh, is it white?
Not sure if anyone would feel the same way as me, but every car I've owned has always been white with one cobalt blue and another slate grey. I absolutely love white cars to death, but when it came to the scud, for whatever reason, I fell in love with Rosso Corsa and Avus was my 2nd choice followed by yellow or black. Red w/ silver race stripes just looks right.
If you are serious, pm me what you are looking for, and I will be glad to steer you in the right direction.
How about this one in Scuderia Red....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Original-MSRP-306-353-2-380-Miles-Scuderia-Red-Black-/310376961516?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4843e895ec
I believe this one sold. Arizonaitalian tried to get this one. Strange it is still on EBay. Once funds cleared on my 2009 Scuderia, it was removed from Autotrader the next day. At least Bentley of Chicago did something right.
Its back for sale. Twice they told me it was sold and to not bother putting in an offer. Twice it didn't close. Then I checked back and tried to get a deal and they are dragging their feet (I'm not even asking for much of a discount from their asking price). I didn't hear back from them today, so I'm kinda done "trying" to spend my money with them. I'm looking at other cars now... Fwiw - I asked "why" it fell out of a deal twice, and they said "the buyer couldn't get financing". That said, they told me one buyer got a PPI at FLI and it had some service at FLI within the past two weeks. And, they specifically told my broker that the financing did get approved...So...I don't know what to believe...
Hmmm, sounds fishy for two buyers to back out. It's definitely for sale again, because it's on all the usual sites (cars.com, autotrader, ebay, OVE). Plus they just posted it on F-life (gasp) 2 days ago. Something doesn't add up. Either they're becoming really desperate or there is something that is scaring away buyers. Tread carefully. Good luck!
I looked at the 458 Italia red Press Car at Lake Forest 3 times. They said it sold. It is still on Autotrader.com. Gee wiz, do these guys want to sell cars? Make them an offer minus the carbon coolant tank overflow. Compared to my experience at Lamborghini Las Vegas, buying a Ferrari has been far from hastle free. I have had very frustrating issues 4 times so far in my hunt for the perfect 458 Italia. I had a deal on the one at Sportscar Company, then the owner backed out. Geez, if you don't want to sell your car, don't list it for sale.
Just curious, how much does the carbon coolant tank cost? Or, is that one of those parts only dealer can source it?
There are options. Buy a new one from a dealer, or Ricambi, or Ferrparts.com. Send it to Macarbon to be refinished? New is supposedly a bit over $2k retail. Or just buy the car and ignore it. Just smile every day and look at that gorgeous full alcantara interior every time you exit the car after a spirited drive. Just verify PPI, verify headlights are clear, not cloudy. Most likely good to go. Then add a clear bra if one isn't installed already.
I bought a yellow. Thats what I wanted and at the time, there were 135 Scuderia's for sale in EU.... 3 were in yellow. So in some cases its not so bad for resale value.
I know that car too! and same situation as you and they won't give me a firm answer, so I am looking at the other one right now.
dang tried 2 red scud. One of them asking for $205k 2008...consigment...no go. The other one dealer is jacking and won't give me straight answer, they must be working on a deal already. Someone post about that car and in the same situatiion where the dealer is jacking him too. The search goes on....one more to go!
I am not seeing too much inventory out there, at least at prevailing prices for cars under 5thousand miles......
