I did not notice until the other day that Peter Monteverdi built a Ferrari 750 roadster into his own berlinetta, using a Swiss coachbuilder. He was actually a Ferrari dealer before he built his own cars, securing the Swiss distribution rights by being a fast talker.
There is a picture of the coupe here:

Now I first thought he rebodied it for himself to race, but then in looking at the resume of 0485M54 on barchettacc.com
they list it as as being restyled and rebodied for a Swiss customer in 1957, but apparently still on loan to piloted by Peter in a hillclimb.
I'd like to hear if anyone knows the price the car sold for among any of these Swiss owners though the price of $8500 in RT is enough to already qualify it as a "barn find." That price seems high for 1960 to me? I mean they were probably discriminated against for not having a full twelve cylinder...

The coupe body by the way was last reported in the hands of Oliver Kuttner the one time car guy (now politician) in the Southeast (I remember when he was crazy about Bizzarrinis)

The car you're referring to is 0486M. More discussion and pics here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/263364-750-monza-coupe-serial-history-please.html

At one point, the coupe body passed through the hands of F-Chatter Don Nelson, as explained by Don here.
