    Todd,

You are right. The 430 is a better car to pickup the ladies in and to valet park... By all means Don't even consider an F40 for your garage!!!!

After reading your post I returned home, pulled the Stradale out of the garage, blasted around some back roads, put the car back in the garage, rolled a heavy duty bomb of a joint, got stoned out of my chicken.....read your email again [all in that order] and determined that I want to get high as a kite with the engineers you know.....Please advise them to continue to get REALLY, REALLY high and put out more stuff like the CS. Here's to the engineers getting high and laughing at us! Cheers.

IN all seriousness, I'm just kidding around here and having some fun.....although one time i did put a bomber to my lips but did not inhale! ha!

I love my stradale it is a pity someone could be so against such a spectacular automobile to become so upset makes me think this chatter has come to the realization his decision to pass on the stradale has left him feeling to some extent left out.
Or perhaps is tired of hearing all the praise the stadale has earned from everyone everywhere that is except him.
As far as the question of a 360 or a stradale.
how can I say this so you might understand BMW 5 series VS M5
    CARRERA VS GT3RS
    MERCEDES G500 VS G55 AMG
They look the same to the average Joe but there not...
    Do you get it ?

I have driven both the CS and the regular 360 and for me the CS was quite a bit more controllable at the limit...that said I am not a brilliant driver and at the limit the 360 was too difficult to control. For day to day use the CS's gearbox was also noticeably smoother. The CS wheels are awesome as well.

If I was planning to keep it for a long time I would get the CS but if you really just plan to keep it a few years I would get a 360 without the F1 you will probably be just as happy.

Gearboxes (transmissions) are the same on the 360 and the CS. The difference lies in the TCU. 1999-2001 the CS is smoother and faster. 2002-2004 the CS is faster (they are both pretty smooth) 2005 I've heard different stories about this some say it is "slushy" and some say it is the same as the 2004. I haven't driven an 2005 so I can't tell.

AGREED... Most people who have/experienced FAST can get easily bored and realize umm, where can I use all of this and it's not that big of a deal to have a nutty fast car anymore!

The Stradale while not being the fastest thing out, is just an out of this world experience every time!

anytime i hear someone mention the F1 feeling "slushy" or "slippery" it makes me think that the point of initial slippage (PIS) parameter needs to be tweaked. apparently ferrari sets this parameter to a predetermined value at the factory which is adequate for most cars. but not all of the cars. i've had three 360s and two stradales and the default PIS setting was not "optimal' on two out of the five cars. it's a very easy tweak to have done. you feel a BIG difference in the shifts when the PIS is set as aggressively as possible. the ferrari mechanics know all about the PIS setting. they rarely mention it unless you specifically ask them about it event hough it's very easy for them to make the adjustment.
