I have a a paddle shift on my CLA45-AMG and dont get me wrong its fun but its a different driving experience altogether and for me not as rewarding as a good toe heal down change through a corner with a manual. The F1 does all that hard work for you. The manual is a more pure driving experience for me. Call it old school but you just feel more involved with the car. It more challenging to get it all right and when you do its a great feeling. With the F1 you really focus more on steering and breaking points than anything else.
How much for the conversion, just curious,I'm still at the "no way I'm letting go of the wheel stage under the pump plus you can't over rev an f1 it just cuts off if you down change too early ,Ace
Ha ha yes already spoken to them. It most definitely ticks allot of boxes for me but need to confirm service history. Asking price is crazy money though for a UK import even if it’s a clean one. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Sorry mate my internet is bad and the photo took ages to load!! gotta be 20-30k over priced at the very least.
No probs at all and firstly thanks for bringing this to me. Much appreciated. I agree. In fact really its a 130 -140k car in my opinion but I guess we will see. Its totally stock not even factory fender shields, std seats, srd wheels etc. But it seems clean. If they want crazy money then Ill wait. There will be others plus I have some feelers out in the UK as well.
Andrew your paddle shift on your AMG are nowhere to even being close to an F1 box experience. I have them on my C63 AMG and they are chalk and cheese compared to the Ferrari..They are more like a tiptronic where as the F1 box is a proper gear change..Still I would go Manwell as the F1 boxes are terrible in traffic especially the 99 boxes......
The speedo face plate will have been changed to kms but the odometer most likely will still be in miles so make sure you check
I will let you know once I am done.....If you like the F1 box , get a Challenge Stradale TCU.....It an easy change over and it will blow your mind compared to a 360 OEM one....Much quicker in the shifts and a totally different experience in Sport Mode.......
As Jason Statham mentioned in this thread, you cant buy UK 360s for that price anymore, especially in the spec you are after. The market has changed dramatically over there.
Ha ha yes I think my pockets are deep enough to get what I want. I looked up your profile and unfortunately yours is an F1 not a manual. A very nice car nontheless. So what do you think I would need to spend to get what I am after?
last time I looked it still had stick shift Chin's car is F1. I'd say you need between $140-$170k depending on condition and willingness of owners to part with their cars. Have you spoken with Mark from Maranello Motorsport?
Crap cars are still inexpensive, but as we all know there's no such thing as cheap Ferrari. Good cars meeting Andrew's requirements don't come for sale very often so would carry a premium.
Yes I agree it is most likely 24,000 miles which makes it a 40k kms car. Plus I have confirmed he has 'lost' the books... all of them. Its still there at 178k. I'm keen with money to spend but not crazy with money to burn
