Greetings guys! I have been searching high and low on eBay and the internet in general, so figured I would post here in case its my lucky day (yesterday was definitely NOT my lucky day ). I'm on the hunt for the only missing piece in my 1985 308QV Euro tool kit, the 18/19 spanner. I know its a difficult task! My tools are the dull chrome variety with CHROM VANADIUM on one side and Ferrari on the other side. No other markings. I would even purchase a set of complete or incomplete spanners to get the one I need. Any leads are appreciated :)

From what you are describing, I would think your wrenches are "Utema", but a picture would help a lot...

That’s a good idea! I’ll take a picture of the other side tomorrow but the other side only says Ferrari. I’ve seen some others online that has Utema or Kravm but mine don’t have that stamp.

Hmmm...one thing is 100% sure, the combination wrench (= 14/14 with an eyelet) is definitively Utema.
The others, I'm not sure; not Kravm, but...
The answer must be in "Piezzo" "unofficial 308 tool kit specification" thread.
Will have a look and revert.

Rarely you see that wrench type for sale... It's not Utema nor Kravm, just Ferrari with the size in a round depression. Your combination wrench should be Utema 1200. Blue handled pliers too? nerofer gave you the posts with pictures of that particular toll set for QVs (mostly seen on 84s), which is with all items pretty much identical from previous examples. Good luck with the hunt!

You guys are awesome, thank you! Yes, I do believe (going off memory, I'll be with the car on Saturday and confirm) that the 14 does say Utema on the other side, but correct the rest of the wrenches do not. Pliers are the red handle type. Just like planting a tree, I should have started this search years ago :) Appreciate the pointers and all of the resources you guys have complied!

I went through this same mess with Porsche tool kits. Finishes, markings, stamping etc. Remeber that these tools are for road side repairs, not for car shows. When you’re stuck on the side of the road and need an 18/19 who cares what the brand is, it’s for wrenching. Don’t get caught up too much in the wine and cheese crowd. Get yourself a nice 18/19 chrome vanadium wrench, let your mind rest, and call it a day. When you’re not looking for one, boom! One will show up. Also have you considered buying a similar 18/19 and having the one side ground and or polished like the original and having the Ferrari marking etched? Perhaps the Ferrari marking is cast in, I’m not sure, but there may be a way to produce an acceptable result. Just food for thought since these searches can be maddening.

After looking at some of the photos of these types of wrenches, it’s possible to have the Ferrari logo essentially milled out with a laser cutter of types. You can remove enough material in the oval section leaving behind a raised Ferrari logo. You may have to do some grinding of the surrounding wrench body itself and then have it re-plated, but it may be a fun project.

You are one lucky camper...no need to buy a full set. Check beforehand that the finish matches the ones you already have.

That was amazing. I love to see people find EXACTLY what they're looking for, especially when it's a fairly obscure item. Congrats!
