Stunning photograph! You sure know how to use that camera, Robb. It was nice spending some time together in the Secret Valley of Racing. I'll post some onboard videos to go with your magnificent track photos after the holiday weekend. Barry Sent from my Windows Phone
The settings all depend on the situation. They are normally always different. But for these in the range of f 4.0 to f 5.6 Shutter speeds from 1/50th to 1/2000th And ISO adjusted to get the shutter and aperture where I would prefer - ISO 100 to ISO 1200 Lenses were Canon 400 f4.0 DO IS and 70-200 f 4.0 L IS both used with and without the 1.4x telextender. Thanks to all. I enjoy what I do as a photographer - it is part engineering solution and part art. It's even better when the subject matter is interesting or something we enjoy. Robb
Not to hijack Robb's thread but seeing all the shots of Lime Rock brought back some old memories of my days there in the 80's. Here is a scan of a shot I took back then. It is, I believe, the contested Ferrari 01C as it looked back in 88 or 89. Note the elegant trailer and white van. Seems appropriate for what is today a $10M car. This link has some history of the car as of 2008. First Ferrari Race Car Headed to Palm Springs Concours - Old Cars Weekly I believe the car has since been resorted and returned to its original configuration. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's an onboard video to go with Robb's photos of my car... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meKuhMrAmJE&t=626s[/ame] 15:47 - 16:34 Well, you know, one thing you have to keep in mind about Lime Rock, it's really a family track. There are no grandstands. There are no assigned seats. And, umm...But when you're out on the track it's a completely different animal. You go from this benign family atmosphere to a real cut-throat, busy, dangerous...it's dangerous here! Sam Posey
