    Yeah, and they arent those cute lil fuzzy black bears either. I saw a Chrysler station wagon after a black bear busted a window and crawled in to eat food. Not pretty.

    It did make a mess of my garage, tore apart the trash cans, knocked over a bunch of stuff and tried to get into the dog food. luckily there was no lasagna in the ferrari. totally funny comment about the major! all kinds of critters in the foothills of colorado, mtn lions, turkeys, coons, elk. a few weeks ago i pulled a peanut butter jar off a racoons head that got stuck - what a job that was, plastic jar, had to chase the coon around with tin snips and had to cut thru the jar to get it off - wish i got that on video tape....

    Just took these pics of a young black bear in the White mountains of N.H. Was taking the garbage out from the condo we stayed at. As im walking away from the dumpster, a couple getting in thier car are looking at the dumpster yelling "bear, bear". I turn back to look but see nothing except some big um feces i did not pay attention to earlier and go on my way.
    Just then my daughter yells to me from inside the condo about the bear at the dumpster. He must have been on the other side of the dumpster when i was putting in the trash! Can't imagine if he came around the corner as i threw out the trash.

    We've had three maulings in the last month about a mile from my house. Lots of discussion on people living with bears, bears living with pople, etc. Funny thing is, I always close my garage door ASAP to keep moose and bears out.

    Cool picture. I showed it to some friends and they thought it was mine.

    Note that although the sign looks "OFFICIAL", it's posted by a campground. Also, I doubt that government signs have smiley faces on them. I don't know where this photo originally came from. I got it in a forwarded email.

    If I only had a nickle for every time I went out in the garage only to find that a pesky black bear had been touching my Ferrari w/o gloves on. Damn good thing it wasn't a black rhino.
