This is a terrific video, thanks for posting. Three things struck me: 1. Very nicely produced, like all the videos on the Petrolicious site 2. I'm kind of Mr. Original when it comes to cars, but the passion Olsen has for his ride is very cool. He's like the ultimate non-poseur, obsessed with dialing in his suspension. And he's right, horsepower is the glamor spec, but usually not the most important. 3. That's also part of the appeal of early Porsches, IMHO -- drive the snot out of them, rebuild, repeat. Not saving it for the next guy.
Thanks for the mention, BrandonH! And thanks for the analysis, Bullfighter. I couldn't have said it better myself.
Thanks! If anyone wants a more-complete look at the garage, there's a tour and a lot of pictures at: The 12-Gauge Garage More information about the car is at: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bb2
I have seen your video on another site, but I just now went through the garage tour website. Wow! As a person who thinks two functional hobby cars and one daily driver are more than enough, I think your garage build was impressive. I tend to take the minimalist approach, uncluttered look; and I was amazed how much you were able to create and store in the space you have. After this build, perhaps you are well-underway to another career or side vocation as a garage design consultant.
no, lots of Mcqueen wannabe's bought 911's. only a few can hang it out on turn 9 at willow springs like jack does. ive been at track days with him a few years back. the man got a huge set and is hell quick in that long nose ! I wonder what lap times he's running now...?
Thank you. I keep working at it. I'm down to a 1:27.04. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj_bFj-rvFg]Jack at Willow[/ame].
