There used to be a carton of them out there on a regular basis with Mclaren and Alfa.

Won't miss it. Although the Rothmans logo is classic.....

I do miss Mild Seven, if for any other reason at all that the Renault livery with IMG is HORRIBLE looking.

Agree, JPS was classic. Gold Leaf though, was kind of ugly...and resulted in some hideously colored road-going Elans. :)

And at least one Europa that I've seen in the livery.

They seemed to have cleaned up the color scheme somewhat this year, and it is now somewhat reminiscent of the colors that Renault used in the early '80s.

...I love those logos... I was a little kid in the 80´s with little Lancias Stratos in full MARLBORO livery...guess what?

    I dont smoke.

That is a stupid regulation, nowdays kids are up for all sorts of pills and heavy drugs! tobbaco is something completely outdated for them...and it does deprives us very beutifull and Iconic logos and brands in motorsports...

...not using tobbaco branding is just hidding the dirt under the carpet.

I smoked for 10-odd years... I quit a pack and half a day habit in July of '06 - cold turkey. I smoked Marlboro Reds (started before I started following F1). The livery wouldn't have made a difference then - it wouldn't make a difference now. Let the run what they want - IMO.

They did a run of Europas and Esprits in JPS colors. I owned a 74 Europa Twin Cam Special when I was younger and could fit in it.

Kind of off topic but I saw this banner displayed at this years Dallas Auto Show. I thought Ferrari F1 couldn't display any of their Scuderia Marlboro images but that maybe only at racing events.

If we mean the same thing there were special edition Ferrari Marlboro cartons in a Mexico duty free two years ago. I also believe all teams should be allowed to run with tobacco livery if they desire. Is there any research that it STARTS people smoking, I didn't think that was the intent.

No Alex, I was only referring to Marlboro having 4 cars with the same livery on the track. Agree with your thoughts completely on the thin correlation between a paint scheme and the perceived threat it poses. 100% hypocrisy from governments allowing tobacco to be sold but not advertised. Do as I say, ..............

IMHO, it's a really stupid move to outlaw tobacco sponsorships. i realise, that even if i did indeed start smokin Marlboro, i'mnever gonna be as fast as MS.

OTOH, i just the pics of Bahrain's free practise, and at least they're not leaving the rear wing just plain red.
