So I have officially had my 599 for a month at this point. I have put 300 miles on it thus far though wish it was more. It was in Ferrari of Central NJ for almost a week of that time. And obvisouly I have to deduct a few days for Hurricaine Irene. Otherwise I look for every excuse possible to take her out for a drive! I am itching to get her out on a track to really let her loose. She now has 10,001 miles on her, and she still looks pristine. I hope to keep her that way as long as I can. I dont know how I will spend December, Januray, and February without her though......

    What I love.
THE POWER! Holy God this thing is just amazing! Just a small tap and she FLIES! The best feeling is downshifting at high speeds to get that extra oomph. Just awesome.

Shifting is insanely quick. You really only feel the shift from first to second, and second to third depending on how you're driving.

The sound system is very good for bose speakers.

The styling of the interior and exterior is just great. I cant find a single angle where the car does not look amazing. The seats are very comfortable with no issues. My car has carbon fiber throughout.

Ipod connection works great with my Iphone 3GS.

I know some purists may not like it, but this was set up with a aftermarket touch screen stereo/gps by Kenwood. Its pretty damn cool I must say.

    Minor (very minor) gripes:
The horn. There are only two buttons where the horn can be used. Im so used to hitting the center of the steering wheel for the horn. Will just take some getting used to.

Rear view mirrors. They dont fold in/out automatically. Every now and then I will forget to fold one out, or have to get out of the car to fold it in when putting her in the garage.

This is probably something that happens with every F1 or manual car. Rolling back when stopped at on a hill. It took some getting used to. Im still fearful someone will stop too close behind me and I will hit them slightly when I get ready to go. I'm finding ways to avoid it though.

Exhaust sound could sound a little better. The Maserati GTS had a nice throatier sound.

    Thanks for reading!

Great thoughts. Have the dealer pull the flaps on the exhaust. That will solve your exhaust sound problem :)

I have the Kenwood in my 599 as well and have added a backup camera. It really helps backing into a parking space. I don't trust myself to pull in head first.

No parking sensors? I have them and they make life much easier.

The Kenwood model is KVT516 and yes flip screen. There was an issue getting the flip screen to work without hitting the dash but a minor fix from Kenwood solved the problem.
No, no parking sensors, agree it would have made all the difference.
In addition to backup camera, added Nav., Bluetooth and iPod Cable.
