    I disagree with Vince (as usual) I think CF would look great... but my question is, if matte black becomes the verdict, does that mean you'll make the panel out of a cheaper material such as fiberglass?

    which is more expensive... clear coating the CF? or painting it black?

    So long as it is very dark, and almost black, I prefer clear coat. And if I don't like it, I'll paint it black.

    Clear coat on the fiber or black are not going to make that much diff. in the cost, if any. I am just trying to gauge the preference. Personally I think CF on a panel this big will look cheesy. It is possible that I can have clear over the fiber as an option, however.

    What about "dulled" down carbon look so it isn't as shiny as it would be with the clear coat? I think that would look sick!

    I think I've changed my mind based upon your suggestion that on a panel this big it will look cheesy. I think I am going to paint it body-color (gloss nero) anyway, but would like to see it in matte.
