My car has been running very hot(230-250, although no warning light) and I kept wondering why. This being my first Ferrari I really don't know a lot about upgrades. Is there a better alternative than the stock fans? Both my CEL lamps have been coming on and off but now the 5-8 is steady every time I drive the car. I will have the car checked out and the codes pulled but first I just wanted to see what you guys say. Is the CEL on due to my engine constantly being too hot? I also feel like the car is lacking power between 20k to 30k rpm.

    All thoughts are highly appreciated.

230-250 is normal temp for the oil, but way high for water. Water should be 200-215dF.

The stock fans are not weather sealed. There are replacement fans at 1/3rd the cost that are. The replacements are one of the $117 parts at (but I forgot which):

Since the car only revs to 8500RPMs I suspect you mean it lacks power from 2K-3K RPMs. This is the area where advance is important, and where excessive heat can cause the computer to pull timing.

What car is this? 348? 355? If it is a 348, you can pull the codes yourself easily.

    Its a 2.7 355.

So the car can feel that the car has a fan out and cut the power around between 2-3k rpm?
