LOOK what I got coming back in to me...1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster finished in Pearl Orange. This is a ONE of ONE car. It is the ONLY 1999 Diablo Roadster EVER finished in OEM Factory Pearl Orange. It ALSO has the RARE SV Gear box OEM, as well original window sticker and tons of documentation. Should land at my store late next week...taking offers now...

Maybe a '99 US....but there were other open light orange roadsters. There was a factory orange roadster just available in Dubai recently.

    Gorgeous car anyway.

    YES< correct, a 1 of 1 for the USA...

Either way a RARE bird for its color as well as its special SV gear box and the CF wing..just a work of art if I say so myself..

Did guys who installed exhausts back in the day on Lamborghinis suck that bad at their craft or just not care? If I had a dollar for every Diablo I've seen with cockeyed exhaust pipes and tips I'd be able to put a serious offer in on this car.

Seriously, how did the owners accept that work when they picked them up at the shop/dealership.

As a Lambo collector, and a shop owner, imo what happens is that the shop/owner installs an aftermarket exhaust and lines everything up when it is installed. Then the owner takes off and puts many miles on the car. During that time, due to the extreme vibration, heat cycles, and just normal wearing in, things more a bit and settle a bit, especially gaskets as they compress from a 'new' shape, to a 'broken-in' shape. Just a few thousands of settling translates to a visible change of angle or tilt of the tips way out back sometime several feet out back on the car.
What should happen, is the car should come back to the shop after a few hundred miles after everything has settled in, and things should be aligned properly, and retorqued down. But imo, that rarely happens. Furthermore, some aftermarket exhaust systems, by virtue fo their design, do not permanently hold the tubes in the same position over long periods of time, like the factory exhaust does do. So I would not blame the craftsmen who did it, but he owners or shop for not bringing the car back in for final adjustments after the settling/breaking in period, or blame the design of the system if it just can't hold things in place over time.

    You know what they say..

    "If you have to ask...."

I have not yet set the price, been going back and forth...I have received several offers in the Mid to higher end 200's...but I think it needs to start with a 3 to make me answer the phone..

People that CAN afford it tend to be able to do so because they DO ask the price and do NOT walk around with an open checkbook. If the PROFESSIONAL SELLER doesn't even know what he wants to ask, what does that say? Give that one liner crud a rest. This attitude is ludicrous. You have already turned off one guy on this car that then came to me. So, thanks for the business.

Sounds like backtracking to me. I really don't understand why people put up with your BS, but I am happy you are earning a living.

You don't have to be mad I've that I've known some of your inventory better than you have.

    Bla Bla Bla

I appreciate you "helping" me out with all my "lack of knowledge"...

and I guess you have nothing better to do then check on me all the time...

NOW, for another saying for you Mr. DW...and I am not joking on this one..

"It is a compliment to be talked about...regardless what is said...you have to worry when nothing is said about you...because then your dead"

But I guess that's what those who are hidden in the fold do....so your yapping don't mean crap to me as you don't even have the "man balls" to fill out your pro-file here or on any other boards...which to me is just a plain old troll

I have no idea WHO you are...but then again..I could care less to be quite frank..
