Just sold my car. Got the "earnest money" sitting in my bank account. Looks like a done deal to a quality individual. He bought the car minutes before he was heading to the hospital to view the ultrasound of his first child. I would say this is probably the happiest day of his life up to this point...........just a guess.........

I knocked off a few bucks for him (he didn't ask me to, I just did) and was glad to do it. Some people just "deserve" a nice car at a nice price. Karma always comes around.....

So I will expect my Karma to the tune of a $30,000 Testarossa!!! Ha!!

That was a nice thing to do for the dad to be. Im sure he will have many odd ball expenses and self sacrifices in his future with whatever new toy comes out for the new family member's 2nd, 3rd, 4th, whatever b-day. I am sure the Fcar is just a nice extra to a great time for him...

Huskerbill, you are a great person with awesome ambition, a great job, a once hidden by the 4H Club hottie wife. I doubt you'll stop at just a TR... make sure you post pics of the Diablo or Gallardo when you nab it in CA. Nice things happen to nice people and you'll get your reward in some aspect I am sure. Just stay away from San Fran muscle man.

    Thanks my friend....

With that being said, I need to get a Testarossa first. And then, you're right, I will NEED to get a Diablo. Come hell or high water, that is what I need to get!!!

Probably won't happen (Diablo) until I move back here though. I will need extra funds, lower cost of living (Cali sucks) or BOTH!!!

Ferrari of Houston has a 90 TR that they just took in on trade. It is rough, but cheap. Not $30K, but close.

I hear ya. The price is what is getting me into a Testarossa first. Plus, I have always wanted one........

But the Diablo is more of a dream car than the TR because I NEVER thought I could own one. Now it is becoming clear that I can someday.

Thus, the Testarossa first and then the Diablo.......

I called them this afternoon. That's about what it sounds like to me. I didn't get into maintanance history but I know it needs a major and a little paintwork has been done. Could be a good deal. 27k miles.

I told him I am moving to California in two weeks anyway and I wouldn't be buying for bit still. Just checking things out for the short term......

Thanks. It is a great opportunity. And I would like to eventually become a Regional Manager with my company. In order to facilitate that, the move to this position is critical.

This move will shorten that timeline by about 2 years.... Otherwise I would simply continue along in the "sales" channel while continuing with our management development program (I have been in it now for 6 months) and then be lumped in with all of the other 14 reps in the country moving along the same path. This bypasses that, allows for other skill set development, and gets me where I want to go 2 years earlier......

Bill congratulations on the move. At least you'll avoid the WI winters. Good luck on the search for a TR. You may have seen these two sites but I thought I'd send them along. They were most helpful when I bought my '91 TR which came to me with 8,700 miles. I had the full engine out performed last Oct. From day one I've absolutely enjoyed this car around town and up at Road America with no trouble whatsoever.

Wish I would have known you were around. I would have invited you on a few excursions the boys and I took in the past 2 years. You will have to get in touch with RKetex, Minte, Mike575, battman, etc. They will know about the upcoming events. There are two in October you might not want to miss......

Thanks for the sites. I hadn't seen either.....

No problem. Let me know if you have questions during your quest. With regards to the excursions my calendar seems to always get in the way when you guys have scheduled a run.

My friend, you need to start living better......

You need to be in a position where you would say, "My Ferrari events keep getting in the way of my other excursions!!!". You would be much happier!!

Yes now that's true. For instance having my TR accepted at Cavallino this past January and taking a Platinum in my class. Now that was a sweet birthday present.
