I know zero about F1 shifter except I will never own one until I can also buy the diagnositic tools to fix it. That sais isn't the BMW SMG a real F1 shifter like Ferrari? I think BMW has basically abandoned the technology for the obvious reason of being quite a PITA. However, since Ferrari manuals and info is so poor has anyone looked carefully at the care and feeding of the BMW SMG to see if what is learned there can be applied to the DIY of the Ferrari F1 since they don't let you and me go to Ferrari tech school? Also, these systems were on alfas and fiats I think under the name selspeed? Alfa's are cheap. An AR owner is not going to spend 14K for an F1 pump for a 15k AR. Maybe there is a source there too for F1 parts and service info.

Just to update: thankfully all is going well so far with the clutch.
I am yet to try moving the car from 2nd from a dead stop. Somehow, I just don't wish to know!
Other threads and my research have reassured me that even if I perform an engine-out major service, I will NOT have to go through F1 bleeding nor clutch recalibration of any sort. Supposedly I can bolt everything back on after the engine goes in and I am good to go.

Here is my interior back together. The ashtray is being repainted as we speak.
The ac vents have been refurbished on the outside, but not painted. That can be something for the future. The car now looks healthy from the inside at what I would rate as 90% condition before getting it cleaned professionally, so I am very happy. :)

I ordered struts for the hood/bonnet (RockAuto, ordering the Ford Focus ones) and have already done the cooling fan's bearing.
