Is there a Porsche parts site similar to Ricambi for Ferrari? i.e., one that has online parts lists and prices? All the ones I’ve come across make you call in for prices.

What do you DIY folks use?

    Thx! - Tim

I recently found Auto Atlanta (www.autoatlanta.com) I haven't purchased anything yet but do have technical exploded diagrams, etc. Seem to have the parts as well.

They don't seem to have CGT parts diagrams/prices, which is what I'm looking for (should have clarified the target car in my first post!).

I'm guessing the DIY market for Carrera GTs is kind of small...

Yup. The F40 DIYs are even smaller, but it doesn't stop me from tinkering! For me, it's half the fun of having the car. I probably have too much time on my hands... ;-)

You can get the PET and that will give you all of the part numbers and diagrams, then order through www.sunsetimports.com

Send me a PM if you can't find the PET.

I have the CGT parts list on CD. It’s just linking up the parts list real-time to prices is what I am looking for. I find that I simply don’t follow the “send email for prices” route very often. The delay and confusion back and forth gets frustrating after awhile.

It’s interesting that it’s so hard to find something that’s common to almost all other brands. If anything, I thought Ferrari would be the hardest/worst, but it’s actually one of the easiest (thanks to one of the sponsors of this board).

Thanks for all the replies. It looks to me as though there’s a real opportunity for someone to make an inroads in the online Porsche parts business which would stand out from all others. After all, there are a lot more Porsches out there than Ferraris! My 2 cents anyway.

DCautomotive. They have it all and are great to work with. They stand by their products. They are the largest Porsche parts dealer IN THE WORLD! They have cars, engines, nuts and bolts. They are the supplier for Porsche when they do their own restorations!!
