thats kind of what we were afraid of. It'll be a long night :)
Here ya go you cheating pansy ;-) I'm not sure if his gameshark is up-to-date enough for these codes to work, but here is a link to the codes which are posted on GameShark's website. http://xs.gameshark.com/xploder/xploderui.asp?PID=94&SID=3418447&tab=gc&gameid=17964&vn=4 PS: Here are some more tips/cheats for GT4. These are courtesy of GameWinners.com http://www.gamewinners.com/playstation2/GranTurismo4.htm
That slalom test was easy for me. As for the 'ring with the MB 190E, I kept failing the test within 1 or 2 seconds from getting the bronze.
265K trick... 1. Enter 2nd special condition hall rally race (tarmac race, no dirt). It's an easy race,I used a Subaru WRX STI spec C but any modded car will work. 2. Win both races 3. Sell the prize car for $265,000 4. Repeat. Make sure you clear your records when it asks you.
Ok, help an old(er) guy out. I've been out of gaming for awhile, unless you consider Black Hawk Down. What is the best wheel / petals combo to get and can they be used for pc games also? I'm interested in playing this game with you guys. I figure this can be played online multiplayer, yes?
This is a Sony Playstation 2 game, online play is available but it's a hack someone found on the LAN mode. The only problem is with LAN hack it slow & you can't race modded cars. As for the best wheel & pedal set up for PC, check this out. http://www.frex.com/gp/
Thanks for the info......... but I really only like games that are multiplayer online like Black Hawk Down. I though the consoles were net ready these days. It would be fun to race other fchaters. Is there a better console online race game we can race? I was looking for a wheel / pedal combo and the ones on amazon got terrible reviews. I'm not looking for a $300+ setup (yet)
This is a nice wheel. Joytech Williams F1. Paddle and stick shift, pedals, sensitivity control, and it rests on your knees when sitting. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Supposedly the XBOX has a game called Forza coming out in May that will suppport online racing. It's the online aspect that really has me questioning whether to get an Xbox or PS2 (never had anything newer than PS1)
It's the game for Ferrari fans, that's for sure. I don't know if the online issues have been resolved with Forza but that would be a key selling point for me. It might be worth the wait. As for PS2 owners, a revised online version of GT4 is in the works maybe out later this year (or five) but I'm not holding my breath.
2 things, #1, the guy at EB games guaranteed me that Forza would have online play, FWIW. #2, I kept asking the guy, "so it's a Ferrari game right?" and he kept saying "NO NO NO it's gonna be just like GT4 only better." The guy definately drinks the Microsoft coolaid.
Im am wondering what the fastest lap time anyone here has turned on the Nurburgring. This morning I turned a 6:24.03 in the JGTC Supra. On another gaming board someone claimed to have turned a sub 6:20. I don't have a wheel at this point and can't break the 24's with a game pad. Anyone else have a faster lap time? Regards, Jon P. The record stands at 5:34 = I know, ridiculous. Not sure which car was used, maybe the Sauber. I read about it on the GT forum that someone recommended early on in this thread.
Has anyone got the Cadalliac Cien??? That car is badass. It sounds really cool when you put a supercharger in it.... You win it from the first series of forward and backwards of the other objective races. It comes stock with 760hp... Put $14,000 on it with the supercharger and it gets 970 I think. I topped out around 255 with no downforce and gears all the way to 25.
Wow Jon, thats a good runtime, I haven't had anything close to that but I guess it depends on the car your driving. I bought the Ford GT then modded the living Hell out. Then I found out the brake are horrible & it doesn't handle worth a crap. Has anyone tweaked the settings for this car yet?
I know! I hate that car. I was really dissapointed with how twitchy the car is. If you put slicks on the car, it becomes impossible to drive.
has anybody used the "photo mode" yet? i still got two weeks before it's in my backwards country, and am interested in this mode too.
People are playing online with XLink right now according to the GtPlanet board. www.teamxlink.co.uk. I don't know the specifics but it seems to be the solution for now.
William, I haven't had time to do anything except "arcade" mode. I used a JGTC Supra and boosted hp to 690+ and lowered the weight by 20% with the "Quick Tune Up" option. I am sure if you start winning cars like the Sauber that time can be bettered especially if you can boost hp to insane levels. Regards, Jon
I spent this weekend trying to acquire my Super license. Everything was going well until I met up with the Audi R8. Holy cow, this thing is just silly fast! It took a few tries to get comfortable with the speed, and I finally did get the bronze. The following rally license took a few tries, but I got bronze in that too. Then I met up with the Bentley Speed 8...........another silly fast car. I got to the point where I was 7/10ths of a second from getting bronze, and then decided to call it a night. Now that I am comfortable with it, hopefully I can complete that and the graduation test tonight.
I got my super license yesterday. I was disappointed to see that there is no specific rally license like the old game.
