I am finally going to make the plunge and put something newer next to the 348. I am having major trouble deciding what is the better choice. First choice is a 430, but with business the way it is, that might not be the smartest choice at the moment. So the contender are:
    Ferrari 360
    Maserati Gran Turismo
    Ferrari 575M

I have had a 575M before (I was the "caretaker" of the car) I loved it.
The 360, because I fit in it better, love the more modern car feel, etc
Gran Turismo, Sex on 4 wheels, and you can fit 3 women in it :)

    Opinions, if it were you?

1st choice, the 430 for sure, that is my next Ferrari, if that day ever happens! The next would be the Maserati. The 360 is really not much of a jump and you still have to do a belt service. The Maserati is sexy like an Aston Martin with 4 seats, the girls in the back seat wouldn't be happy though. ;)

430 or 360 (in that order).

If you have to wait a little longer than wait.

No point in getting in to something now only to regret it later.

That would be awesome!!! I'm stuck with a BMW 545 as my DD. But it has been a fantastic car! Super easy to work on!

My current DD is a 208 BMW 335xi couple. Great car but now over 100K miles. The plan is to keep it for the 4 crap months we have here, not that I'm thrilled with having 3 cars...

Skip the Gran Turismo, you'll be bored with it soon enough and wind up with a 360 anyway. The 575M....I got a little throw up in mouth....sorry.

It would be between a 360 and the Maserati Gran Turismo - ....I'd say 360.

A Gran Turismo with cambiocorsa (F1) transmission would be nice. I think the last year for that transmission was 2009. 360 & 430 are too common. Gran Turismo is beautiful and uses a timing chain.

If business is questionable good sense says wait.

Far as models I have a 355 and wife gave me the OK for a 458 but I'm just not feeling it at this point. our 348/355 are really nice rides

    This.

Otherwise, I say go Ferrari V-12. 430 would be my second choice.

I'd never trade my 355 for a 458, but I certainly hope to add a 458 in the (near?) future.

    I went from a 348 to a 360 since my 348 got totaled...

The 360 is a completely different experience in comparison to the other. 348 had a very raw overall feel in looks, driving, sound, and performance.
The 360 is refined, more comfortable, and surprisingly quiet (top up) even though it's a spider w/ Tubi. Personally, I LOVE the F1, and the ~100 extra HP over the 348.
It would be nice to have one of each since they are so different. Drive one, and you will see.

You've already got an 8 cyl. with the motor in the rear, so eliminate the other rear motor cars.
That leaves a 12cyl actual Ferrari and an 8cyl car with a detuned Ferrari motor. Hmmmm.

I think Falcon Wing is onto something - look at it from an experience perspective. Since you are lucky enough to keep the 348 - the only real go-kart out there - what adds to most different driving experience? That would put it between the 575 and the GT. And plugzit rightfully asks the rhetorical question "a real 12 cylinder Ferrari or a detuned 8 cylinder Ferrari motor that slipped into somebody else's - albeit breathtaking - skin"?

575 all the way - icing on the cake, Michael helped setup that car. Unfortunately there're not going to be any more of those.

    Consider this:

Taking a guess, but your 348 is not a DD, so dont replace it with one...

    Maserati Gran Turismo
-I really like these and almost bought one, not to replace one of my weekend warriors but as a DD. And..... its more DD then weekend warrior, not a true manual, way to heavy and almost zero feedback. It would be a great DD, but your not buying it for this reason. Or sell your DD, keep your 348 and add this one.... The only reason I didnt get the Maserati for a DD is because its not AWD and I need that in the winters here.

    Ferrari 575M
-This has never been my style of car, if you like it get it. But I would stay with the 348...

    Ferrari 360
This is a worthy jump. Not my style either, its to round for me, I like the sharp look better. But driving experience(get the 3 pedal) it would be more fun then the 348. A lot more. With your current situation this seems like the best factor for you and you would not be disappointed with your choice.

    Ferrari F430
This is a great car and best valued Ferrari at the moment(in Europe and not including the Scuderia). Its modern and very fast in comparison to the 348. Even to the 360 is a huge jump. If you can wait and afford it its your best bet. While it will lose more resale value compared to the 360, you should be balanced in the end because of the cost saving with services(this is much cheaper then the 360).

Your 348 wont lose any value the longer you wait, so you have time to see if things change with your business to justify the F430. If not get a 3 pedal 360.

i would say wait and get the 430.........you already have a brilliant little Ferrari so the hunger to get the next one can be dealt with by looking and driving it till the right 430 comes along when you are comfortable to purchase it...the wait will be justified......however keep the 348 for life!!! that one should be a keeper

I am anxiously awaiting the return of the car from FabSpeed. That is my problem, I don't need two ferraris, but I don't want to get rid of the 348, I love that car. But I want to experience more of the modern car...

Well then don't get rid of it silly.

The 430s will keep depreciating, as will the GT. If business isn't all that fantastic why spend money that you may need to get you through a rough patch? I say hold out till after you get your 348 back from Fabspeed.

    550 because its a better buy than a 575. A 430 6-speed if I could find one instead.
