Hi Professonals, My name is Kent, but use the Screen Name Indytech. Anyone that may recognize me knows I am an accomplished electronics/control systems
    professonal.

I am in immeadeate need of the factory HVAC Control system schematics for a 1990 348TS.

The reason is I would like to reverse engineer a new HVAC Controller for these cars. I am 100% Committed to doing a complete systems analysts, but do require the original schematics to make my project a little easier.

Hopefully most of you are aware these units are no longer in production, and if the current servicable cars are to continue past the present available stock of these items there must be a replacement produced. I'm committing to do this if I can nail down the drawings.

Every ferrari professonal stands to benefit from this, with the sole exception of persons holding the remaining limited stock, that is charging at least double the original full retail for these units.

I also intend to compile a comprihensive a methodic, highly detailed procedure
of trouble shooting and repair of these systems to all who request it.

Come on guys, somebody step up and throw me a bone. I really need that documentation, and I promise to be a long term asset to the brotherhood, at least from an electrical & electronics prospective.

    Best Regards Indy

Good for you Kent, I hope you succeed in your quest.

I have a 1991 Euro 348TS and it has a quirky HVAC. Almost without fail everytime I switch ignition on and start the engine the HVAC clock shows what looks more like greek hyroglyphics, then if I shut her down and restart the display is restored to ok. I suspect an earth problem but who knows. I'm probably going to try stabilant 22A route first (that is if I ever manage to get my hands on the stuff in the UK)

Spare HVAC units are becoming scarce and as you say they are commanding high prices inevitable with supply and demand. It will be good to have another option. Probably be easist route for you to get a dead unit and pull it apart to reverse Engineer, I'd be pleasantly suprised if you get your hands on a sufficiently detailed Engineering drawing.

No-Dout Just posted a complete copy of the Airconditioning Control Schematics in a different thread, Way to go No-dout. Were off and running.

A 308 project could be possible, if there is an honest interest. My approach is simple, I'm going to take an existing, available controller, and adjust the form factor and input and output options to operate with the existing system. Sounds a little simpler than it actually is, but it is not the moon and stars task many would have you believe it is.

    Thanks Indy
