Why must every odd photo be a conspiracy. This is a very old photo and a scan of an old print. As Joe confirmed (and he would know) this is indeed a real photo taken probably in the late 70's or early 80's. The 12 pipe layout is not a one off either. Everyone's favorite LP400's from Cannonball Run also sported 12 exhaust pipes.

Why does the license plate say Miura?

 

Not a photoshop...here's why:

The car was CLEAN before he took it out.

It is OBVIOUS from the picture that the car has been through the rain and god knows what else since its last bath...what parts of the car DON'T get dirty when you drive in the rain???? THE DOOR JAMS!!! If you look closely, you can see where the bright red is...in all the door jams...all the areas protected from the elements....

Rockaforte, its no big deal and this car isnt worth the argument, but other images exist of its rear end (I will try and dig some up) and yes the owner really did want a 12-tip system. The car is well-known to be LP400 1120214. Here is a front image and other rear images to ensue presently.

By the way, another well-known black Countach 1121112 sported a similar 12-tip stytem as pictured below proving that not only was this type of thing done, it wasnt even unique to the red Japanese car.

I started acquiring my Lambo knowlege from 1978 on, when I encountered a Countach parked on a side street in London. It was tipping with rain, yet the car was surrounded by half-a-dozen men, all silently observing this dark blue road missile in hallowed reverance. I joined them and right there I thought Lamborghinis were special.

Only Valentino tries to stump me, and yes, he has succeeded. Once.

No VW did not consult me before they bought Lambo but one of their heirachy did buy a car from me recently.

The carpets are in fact red.
