    Is it a fact, please, that there is only one F-40 per 1,500,000 (one million five hundred thousand American citiizens?)

    No. As usual you are wildly mistaken. There is one US version F40 for each of 213 Americans (according the FChat expert on US version F40's - the honorable Joseph Sackey). The rest of the poor buggers have nothing at all.
    Regarding non US F40's, it widely known they are inferior to the US version F40 and we therefore disregard them for any statistical purposes. :)

    How many are there in the UK and how many per citizen? I think your calculations are roughly correct given that there are 300M+ people in the US. Interestingly, if you took that average world wide - wouldn't it be 1 to every 4.5M to 5M people or so. Now I dont feel so bad that I dont have one :)

    By the way - citizen is not spelt citiizen. Given your superior intellect, I thought you'd want to know.

    Good lord. I've never heard anybody with such nationalistic pride. And I live in the United States.

    Thank you for pointing out (AGAIN) that Ferrari had to modify the F40 to meet certain regulations in the United States. We all get it, and personally I think the US F40 looks better. However I understand that is an opinion, so I do not care to force it down your throat.

    Dear comrade 410SA,

    I am not having this allegation made against the good name of my illustrious American friend Joe Sackey without immediately leaping to his defence. Joe is wholly omniscient in all matters F-40. And please, when referring to Joe, will you kindly use the correct English spelling of honourable and not 'honorable' as you have done. And surely, Joe never said there was one F-40 per two hundred and thirteen American citizens? If so, where is the evidence? Furthermore, Joe has recently acknowledged the UK/Euro version of the F-40 to be 'The Lightweight F-40' and for this he has been mentioned in despatches by our Prime Minister to the Queen at his monthly audience with her of yesterday afternoon.

    well obviously it depends how you look at it

    213 cars produced.
    each car goes to 1 owner
    therefore its 1 car for each of 213 people and none for the rest.

    works for me

    for someone who uses sarcasm so often in their own posts you do seem to miss it in other peoples. :p

    With regard to your comment concerning sarcasm. I suspect that you may have misundestood and that a catachresis has occurred. Perhaps you intended to say satire?

    I regret to inform you that this is not the case. I have vowed never to enter an aeroplane until bumpers are fitted to both the front and rear. All cars have 'em, so what's the problem with aeroplanes? The reason I suspect is because they are not safe in either a tale-end or indeed front-end collision.

    Thank you for your kind sentiments. And yes, I may be a little different, after all, I belong to a select group that own and drive F-40's. Seemingly and from statisitical evidence I am not one of the one in one and a half million within America who do not possess an F-40, but on the contrary, I am one of the mere two hundred and fourteen that do. And yes, I have aligned myself here to the American contingent who own the other two hundred and thirteen that reside in the wonderland of America - albeit that it is our English colony. So I am very happy with myself and those that know me adore me, and those that may, for whatever reason, wish to pour scorn and derision upon me, have my full permission in continuing to do so if this is what makes them happy.

    My point was did this question really warrant a new thread?

    I'm sure being an F40 owner you would have some idea as to how many reside in the US. You probably would also have some idea of how many people are in the US...do the math.

    I can't really tell if you're taking the p1ss or not. Seems like there's new threads like this one every day.

    It may have everything to do with the fact that he has but thirty three posts to his credit. And perhaps not yet owning a Ferrari, may well feel the necessity to exonerate himself by believing, and indeed inferring, as he has in this instance, that those that possess them have acquired them by means other than jolly hard work.
