Half have been destroyed or parted out or will be. A third are sitting effectively lost, covered in dust "I'll get it going some day" The remainder are being enjoyed. Thus none for sale.* The more I look at them the more I like them. Happened the same way with my Mondial.

    * All above statements of fact above were pulled by me from a place the sun doesn't shine and are not meant to represent anything that is actually happening in the market, but as my father used to say "sometimes you talk just to hear your own voice"

Or the owners have seen the market come down from the high of 06-07 and are holding on to them hoping for better numbers. I FINALLY found ours within the last month after a lucky turn of events. I'm not going to say too much because as it is a surprise for my Wife for Christmas and I would like to tell the whole story after that.

Looking forward to see pics and hear the story. I think the prices are still holding for the gt4's if not still climbing!

    Cheers!

Ah but still, out of all the cars in the Ol' USA, only a couple available! Maybe I'm nutz but to me thats very cool! The GT4 to me is a rare and historic car and a blast to drive, and easy to maintain. LONG LIVE THE DINO GT4 !!!!!!!! And Ive had mine over 5 yrs now and the smile has yet to fade!!!

    Cheers!

Having just sold my '75 GT/4, these threads lamenting the dearth of good examples for sale now strike me as comical. Mine was completely rebuilt and refreshed mechanically with new clutch, brakes, suspension (Konis, bushings, springs) and lots of performance upgrades. I threw in a set of bigger rims, too. Very nice interior and a presentable exterior with no rust, dents, dings, tears or damage and no history of any collisions. With very low miles, it drove and handled very, very well after all was done. Other than dual MSD and new wiper blades, it was complete and original with jack, tool kit (most tools), manual and tons of receipts. At $26k, it was priced fairly and reflected a fraction of the money I spent.

I advertised for months on FerrariAds and eBay. Yet, the only people who expressed interest were bottom-feeders and low-ballers. It was painful and a waste of time. One tool contacted me through eBay and said his "budget" was $15k.

Thankfully, l I finally found an enthusiast who recognized the value and we reached an agreement on price. Ironically, I really miss my GT/4 and would buy it back in a heartbeat.

At bottom, so many amateurs without sufficient "budgets" buy these great cars and compound the financial deficit through their neglect and cheapo repairs. I know because I had to undo a few on my car. Once these great cars are brought back to form, they are one of the most fun driving experiences you can have. One alternative to "buying the best you can" is to buy the next best you can and budget yourself for the improvements and repairs you want to do to make it right for you. Then hold on tight.

A few weeks ago there was a really nice looking white one sitting at Cooper Classics on Perry St. in Greenwich Village. Haven't been by there since, but you could check their website.
