Does anyone have advice regarding these 2 options? I just got a new Corvette that has OnStar (which I've never had before) and I'm wondering if it does all that Lojack does as far as vehicle tracking & recovery. Is there any point in getting Lojack, too? Thanks
I personally subscribe to the firm of Smith and Wesson for all my security needs. However, between OnStar and Lojack I would go with the former.
Take a look at the literature and Check with your insurance company. I have a LoJack on my car, the insurance company wouldn't give me a discount for it. But if I had a factory installed alarm they'd give me one. So the insurance company thinks that preventing the theft is much, much more important than getting the car back. How much prevention the alarm provides these days is a bit beyond me. I hear them going off all the time an no one gives a second look.
