Well im off on my dealer adventure in about half an hour!! Too bad its so crappy outside:(!! Well ill talk to you guys later...expect some pics when i get back!!!!:):)

    Hi Titan-boy
I am also in Toronto. If it weren't wet outside today (Friday), I would offer you a ride. I feel a desparate need to drive the car :) Since it won't happen soon, send me an email in April, I am sure the weather will be fine by then.

Jay, I have ordered tickets for GP, but now find I have no hotel (Had one booked but was later told it is overbooked!) We will probably forgo the GP and go to Mt Tremblant event instead.

    Hey Guys,

Well today I went on my little dealer adventure in Toronto!! I arrive at the Lamborghini Dealership...everythings fine...until my digital camera decides to run out of batteries:(:(!!! I got a bunch of shots of the Lambos, including The new Gallardo, and also the new 40th anniversary Murcielago, but after that I was un-able to take pictures:(!!I also went to the Bentley/Aston Martin/Rolls Royce Dealer (Grand Touring Autos)...I saw the new Rolls Royce Phantom!!!! I'm originally from Welland, (South of St. Catherines, West of Niagara Falls), but I've been abroad and in the US about 8 years now. My family still lives in Niagara and Kingston. I married an American and will stay here in the States - more money for entrepreneurs, more aggressive economy, 30% more disposable income per capita (read: easier to get a Ferrari!)...

Now that I'm back East (living in Boston now), I do find myself back in Canada more often.

It's unfortunate to see so many Canadians on the board are not owners, but c'est la vie, or rather, c'est la socialisme... but it's great to see younger Canadians with aspirations, something I was not around growing up in a dead-end steeltown.

Dude, you have no excuse, you guys are having awesome weather! We on the West Coast are freezing our butts off and dredging through thick snow! My baby's buried in the garage! :)

    How was your trip by-the-way?

I'm in Etobicoke right near the airport. With the nice weather recently I've been all over the roads with the GTB. Now it is cold so she is hibernating for the winter.

    Hi Nuvolari,

Just wondering what preparations you do to the car to store it for winter and do you start the engine on a regular basis or just let it sit until spring? I have a 360 Modena which I have been starting once a week since storing it but some people advise against it. Any thoughts on this? I'm at Yonge & Lawrence.

From an engineering perspective and not an owners, I'd say running the car periodically to get fluids flowing and moving parts in motion would definately be ideal. Even better if you could get the car in gear, and move it back and forth.

The only concern I could think off would be temperature and its effect on oil (that is if the car is in an unheated garage) Given how cold its been here in Toronto, if the oil is optimized for much warmer temperatures, its visocity in these temperatures may not offer the same protection for the engine's moving parts.

Of course, today its a balmy -19 degrees C, so it might be the best day for an engine run we've had in a while. If you want to really excercise it, take it for a run and when you're done, I'll head up the street and wash that beauty for you, free of charge :)

Hi Coyote, As a 10 yr owner you might want to do a once a month start up. In this weather in Toronto it is not recommended to star because Ferrari oil is much thicker than the standard car. Once a month I start my Testa and 308gtb. My last starts were xmas. You do not need to start more than that for 2 reasons.

1: Moisture buildup in your exhaust over time will effect you cats, and retain moisture(water) in your exhaust.
2: Cold temps, will keep oil to thick at the bottom of the pan and you will encounter more dry startups than necessary (longer term neg effect).

If you don't already have one, go to CDN tire and pick up one of those little heater units and plug it in and keep it running in your garage. I have two of them at both ends and my temp in my garage today is about -1.
Any other questions feel free to get back.
    P.S. the 360 is sweet, congrats !!!
