    After a fun spin in my BB some homo in an Audi TT stopped beside me to say "ooooooooo.....the maaaaagnummmmm carrrrrrrr......my favorite ferrarrrrrrri". Now, if he had a favorite ferrari he would not call a 308 a magnum car nor would he call a BB a 308. Yes I can see how people mistake the 2, they share styling and its RED with a horsie on it. I can still see his gay face with that poo pushin smile.

    I think he's right, the BB was at one time a Magnum, the most powerful handgun, excuse me I mean Ferrari in the world. You should have given him a ride in your Magnum Ferrari and made his day, or yours.

    Ha-ha, yes Paul Newman picked up a 308 right from the factory, saw a pic in a book I have. I usually get the robert redford comment or the salad dressing one, this is a first with a steve mcqueen shot!

    OK. I almost hate to do this, but what the heck. A slight twist to the intent of this thread.

    This photo of Paul Newman sitting on the 308 at the factory raises a question for me. I own a 1976 fiberglass 308 that was originally purchased by Clint Eastwood. At the time, Clint and Paul Newman were loosely connected through a racing team in the SF bay area known as Ray Ramsey Racing. There were 2 or 3 308's purchased at the time; some by Paul Newman and one by Clint Eastwood. Does anyone have any more information on this photo with Paul Newman?? Would greatly appreciate any help on this as I am trying to build a more complete history on my car.

    That explains a lot of the "homo" references. Didn't the Monty Python Lumberjack song proudly praise Canadian homo lumberjacks, or is it just those delightful plaid shirts and big swinging axes they carry.
    I always thought that BB's were the inspiration for TT's...
    Go figure. It's too cold too think straight in Ontario, so they think bent.
