Open Lease: Early Termination

I recently started to look into the open lease program offered by FNA. All of my past leasing history has been with traditional closed leases through Porsche and BMW.

I've done a bit of searching through the forums and found some great info on these types of leases, but I am curious to hear specifically about other people's experiences with turning in their cars early.

Like most, I would only keep the car for a year or two (lease term is 5 years). I'm wondering if others found that they had to make up a large difference between the market value of the car and the balloon payoff amount on the lease?

Both the dealer and Premier Leasing have stated that in many cases people either break even or even get a little money back, because Ferraris retain value pretty well over time.

I would most likely just sell back to the dealer (they make you sign a first right of refusal for 2 years anyway). Or I would have them sell it on consignment.

Just wanted to hear if this was accurate or if the reality was another $10-20K (or more...) after 1-2 years.

I guess my other concern with this type of lease is if there was ever any accident or other mishap that would require repair and subsequently affect the market value of the car. I've unfortunately had this experience with a Porsche C4S... and was glad I could just turn in the keys at the end.
