What is this car worth? Ferrari F355 Spyder 1998. Giallo Modena, 6 speed. Second owner; Bought 1.5 years ago from Ferrari Authorized Dealer @ ~ 8,500 miles, has 11.5 K miles now. Original owner was part owner of Ferrari dealership. All service records, belts due 1.5 or so years hence, new battery, new PZero 18" OEM Spec tires on stock rims, Xenon headlight upgrade, Yellow belts upgrade, Upgrade to stereo, 6 CD Pack & player in unit, OEM Optional Yellow/black prancing horse mats, 3M Invinca-shield, power seats, top as new, garaged, no smoke/weather/track, K40 built in with F/R detection & Diffuser, front bumper re-spray for few stone dings,. 1 or 2 small rock chips. All manuals and leather case, Ferrari OEM car cover, all tools and equipment. May require header cost for 2 ~ $ 5,000 The car also has almost new PS2s on 4 three piece OEM Ferrari Modena 18 modular rims (2K miles on rims). There is minor paint work on front bumpers and air dams. So how much should it sell for, or what price range? How much should it depreciate in the next 12 months? He mentioned that it 'may require header.' That doesn't sound promising to me. What should I watch out for on a 10-year old Ferrari? Thanks for your opinions!
I have a set of stock headers on Ebay right now--ALOT cheaper than $5K, it is a common 355 problem----Ballpark figure for worth around $75-$77K-----Not sure about depreciation in the future, you can never tell with these cars..
What is the status of the valve guides? Potentially much bigger issue than headers. They have taken a royal value beating the last 3 years, at that time you are looking at a $100k car (low-mid $70s now). Probably no more than $10k more loss in the next 3 years.
By comparison - I have a 98 w/ 23k miles new headers, tubi, hyper flows, tires, battery, clutch, challenge grill, 6 speed, 6 disc, K-40, major was in 06. Has all the other items you mentioned and is pristine and not for sale. It has $8k more in improvements than you mentioned but 11km more miles. So 6 or one-half dozen, when it comes to value. I wouldn't even entertain $65k for a car that has the sex appeal of the F355 and sounds better than a Murcielago. $75k sounds realistic. good luck
Are those still available in case I need them? I doubt I will but apparently the car is not pristine and may need headers.
