So I am maybe ready to pull the trigger on a gated 360 in the color I have always wanted, TDF Blue. From the PPI, it needs a few things addressed: Coolant Cap Leaking On Coolant Reservoir Passenger Side Sun Visor Material Lifting Windshield Scratched Bottom Underfloor Pan Has A Couple Of Broken Pieces Missing From Pan Front Bumper Scratched Underside Rubber Boots For Spherical Joints Ripped Engine Mounts Need Replacing Have all service records, books, keys, etc. 36k miles. New brakes, new tires, original clutch, recent major, no stickies. The driver seat looks a little tired in the pictures, and those front bumper scratches make it look like a repaint up there might be in order. Based on this, should I go for it, and reduce asking price, or move on along until the next car comes along. Thanks, David.
Yes seriously. I'm not sure what didn't seem serious. I bought a Mondial from these forums 18 months ago, and it cost me almost as much to repair as to buy, and it looked perfect and well maintained. I don't want to do so again, only this time with a much more expensive car.
Is it a coupe? PPI and try to talk to anyone who worked on the car or knows it. The asking price is on the low end of what these cars go for so you need to be aware and be smart.
I won't speak for the poster but I would assume that there was an element of surprise at how good the PPI turned out. Really small potatoes there IMO. F
It's a coupe. I had a PPI done today from a highly recommended Ferrari mechanic. The items I posted above were brought up in the PPI
Which year? Options? Services status? Condition might be acceptable for a 15 year old car, just be ready to throw some money at it. Depending on the year and condition the price might be closer to $70k than $80k.
Sounds too good to be true! Anyway to make a friend in the region section of Fchat to get another set of eyes on the car...or did Yellow Compass already buy it? /jk
Windscreen is expensive if you decide to replace. Undertrays are probably expensive too. Might need clutch soon. Doesn't seem all bad if the price is right. If you want a late model TDF manual and you pass, you might struggle to find another.
Those are things that can be fixed pretty easily. I'm not in the US, but if the consensus is that the price is fair, I would not let that PPI scare me. Also, sometimes windshields can be repaired rather than changed. Talk to a specialist about that. There's a lot to save if it can be done that way.
For reference I sold an 03' with 30k miles a couple of years ago. Manual, new clutch, belts, fully serviced and in phenomnial condition. It went for $82k. Hope this helps.
If this is the car, I believe it is fairly priced and stunning in appearance. I am 2 hours away. If closer, i would go look at it for you. I have a gated '99 Modena and love it. 2004 Ferrari 360 Modena - Gated 6-speed
