Assuming motor mods are not visible. What would a 3.4L upgrade to do collector value? Hurt? This would use the same numbered block that came with eth car. How about simple upgrades like head porting and larger valves. maybe go to a non-cat cams set? This is on on an other wise non modified car, except for wheels and shocks, which are easily changed back. Thanks, Doug
It works for me, but to be on the safe side with my mods I bought spare parts to mod and keep the originals stock.
Depends on the condition of the car IMO. If it's a great , original car in good condition that hasn't been painted or had its leather coloured etc then I would say don't do it. Good condition, original, stock is king when it comes to value
Car has been repainted 30 years ago (lacquer was checking badly),and has new, as original GAHH leather interior and new carpet. So it isn't original from factory, but is hasn't been heavily modded, it looks original. In the 1960's Corvette world, internal motor changes won't hurt an other wise restored to as original car, unless it is a very, very rare Corvette. Not sure how mach carries over to relatively limited production Ferrari. Doug
One of the Carobu 3.5L GT4's sold at auction for $110k a couple months ago. Can't help but think the engine mods had a lot to do with that.
