I am really enjoying this season so far, very competitive, and impossible to predict the outcome of any session. The only complaint I have is that I wish the last session in the qualifying format had no bearing on fuel to start the race with. This would ensure us getting to see the cars go as fast as they possibly can, and also a level playing field. The qualifying rules, as a whole, is working........very entertaining. Can't wait for slicks to come back as well! What are your thoughts?
All the races have been very entertaining and unpredictable. The podium has been filled with different faces and even those who have struggled show no signs of being down and out while those expected to have difficulties such as BMW-Sauber & Williams have been fairly strong in the races so far. Personally I don't get what all the excitement during Qualifications is all about, I think it is complicated for the sake of being complicated. Yes it has shuffled the grid, but the engine replacement rule also does that, so I just don't like it. I will always be a fan of the 1-lap qualifications, regardless of who tells me it is boring.
Promises to be a good season like 2005 assuming McLaren and Ferrari dont let Renault get too far ahead. I am still miffed that we aren't going to have Spa this year
Qualifying is ok, its not the best but it is entertaining. I do wish they could run as light as they wanted. Really see where each car is. Although I also thought the one flying lap would have been made better with low fuel too. There does seem to be more entertainment during the races thus far, but I hate the 2 race engine rule. There's many more ways to save cost and limit performance if they want. I think the engine rule hurts competition and in doing so hurts the sport. Mark
Great season, enjoy it very much. Apparently not the big fight I thought it would be, Renault runs away with the title again, but so be it. Qualification is entertaining although I'll never understand that 110% rule. Anxious to see what's going to happen with the USGP. Will it stay, will it move within the US, will it get replaced by Cancun? Really looking forward to next year with only one tire manufacturer and hopefully more cars.
Going about as I expected, I figured Renault to remain #1, but I expected a teeny bit more of a challenge from Ferrari. Williams is performing better than I expected.
I'm liking it so far. I just hope that, by the time the other teams get it together, Alonso hasn't built up another insurmountable lead.
