Unless speed and acceleration are your only criteria, you may actually prefer the 360, or even an earlier car. I personally know two commercial airline pilots, one current Navy figher pilot and one retired Air Force pilot that own and love earlier period cars - 308/328- due to the 'immediate' feel. No computers, no power steering... Not as fast or refined to be sure, but as one of them once said to me, "I can tell for sure I'm driving and not the computer." That said, I plan to add a 360 to my garage at some point too....
I'm guessing that his boss would read this thread and know that he is taking the offer seriously, thinking through the potential pros and cons, and would probably feel even better about making the offer.
or even scarier, dating the boss's wife!?! Seriously, you could ask your boss to let him have the pleasure to show what his 430 is capable of, and then after you could take the commands and test drive it. A nice reason to enjoy together a nice spirited drive.
Make sure the tires are warm before putting it through it's paces, watch out for inclined driveways as this is probably the lowest car you have ever driven. Make sure your pants don't have rivets, they will scratch the leather. Have a blast the car is a beast.
I say drive it. The way I was raised by my father was to return the property, whatever it may be, in better condition than it was recieved. Get the car detailed and have the oil changed etc etc for him, hell if he is as rich as it sounds he may one day let you borrow his F40 or F50! Life is short man and if you dont grasp all that is offered too you?
Am reminded of a great boss and his pilot who became a great mate. Funnily enough it was the boss who needed a kidney and his pilot gave him one. I didn't know either man well enough to comment beyond recognising the issues in really lop-sided relationships.
