Anyone from here going to partake in any of the qualifiers?

I'm waiting on a new rear sway bar setup to arrive so I can finish the suspension setup, but assuming all is good I'll be competing in the Road America round this upcoming Sunday.

What car are you competing in?

I read through their rules and didn't see much related to the type of cars that would be considered.

When I was really into the import scene Sport Compact Car magazine did an ultimate street car challenge. I remember 2 of the big rules were no flat 6s and nothing over 8 cylinders. I remember one year the owner of Axis wheels won with a very lightly modified 360 Modena. Seems like cheating when you are going up against a bunch of civics. lol

Sounds like that was before the USCC really took off, now there are a few classes.

Some pretty serious cars and drivers do this- including most of the big name Pro-Touring & SEMA guys.
Pretty much any type of car can compete as long as its registered, insured and not on R-compounds or race rubber its in the game. 2 years ago at the RA round there was a Carrera GT, Bentley Conti GT, and then the normal assortment of Porsches, Vettes, pony cars and then some of the SEMA/PT cars.

Ill be running my 93 Trans Am- sway bar arrives in mail Friday. Upgraded Z06 brakes (DTC-70's front/HT-10 rear), full aftermarket suspension, modified 4 speed manual valvebody trans, 450hp LT1, Fresh Nitto NT05's (275/40/17s & 315/35/17s). RA is my home track, so we'll see what happens.
