Where, Eurospare has them for $2500 each, and you still need Flamblocks, bushing and springs. Anyone use those cheap ones, Im sure they dont ride well.
here are some even cheaper For Ferrari F430 2005-2009 Front Rear Shock Absorber Coil Struts Assys Magnetic | eBay
or you could go the used route? only 20k miles on these and they would be an upgrade since they are off a scuderia. 2008 05 06 07 09 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Strut / Shock Absorber Set #1293 M3 | eBay
$3,700 for one front OEM shock absorber at Eurospares (part 235232) Something else to consider, the OEM ones are crimped shut, and use rubber seals, which makes them effectively disposable. With the rebuild, all parts are metal and with the modified screwtop design, can be disassembled and refilled by any decent shop which makes them basically lifetime use. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f430-shocks-rebuilt-and-shortened-lowered.644478/
What did you notice about the ride quality after the rebuild? I know he also can revalve for increase performance and upgrade the electronics of the shocks. Any reason why you didn’t do those options and what did shortening the shaft do? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I had an issue where 2 of the shocks, the rubber seal slipped off, so i was getting no resistance, just hard bumping over road bumps. He completely restored the compression so now I get a smoother ride and bumps are handled effectively with no jarring bangs. He didn't mention those upgrades, maybe he's figured them out since, I know he's done others. I got the shaft and tube shortened so I could lower the car 20mm without affecting the spring tension. And I got the springs painted yellow to match the calipers, thought that was a nice touch.
My front shocks were rebuilt last year. Dan at Bradan advised me it was more cost effective to rebuild than replace with oem. He sent them to England for this, don’t know where
