Greetings to all. Does anyone know of any options that one can use to replace the OEM 308 USA spec rectangular front and rear side marker lights?

These large rectangular reflector / lights were sourced from various Fiats of the day. I have always felt that they look just sort of stuck-on and that they ruin the looks of the front and rear quarters of the cars.

Maybe something which was much smaller and more 'streamlined', and which would fit into the existing holes in the sheetmetal so as to avoid the need to drill?

Or, am I the only one who has ever thought of this?

    Cheers - DM

I eliminated mine during a repaint but Ive seen other markets that run a slightly smaller rectangle, maybe france or japan, something like that.

The rectangle lights were added to the US models. The "euro" spec cars had a small round side marker light in the front fender only. Not sure if the euro type light would cover the same size hole or not though. I kind of doubt it and I'd bet some body work would be needed.

The US lights have a large round hole where the wires run to the light (and where the Euro style mount) but two more holes on either side which hold the light on. To replace it, you'll need to fill those small holes and paint.

Don't have a replacement for you though.

For sure, if I were ever going to be doing some bodywork on the car, I'd fill in the existing trio of side marker holes (one large center, two smaller mounting holes on either side) without a second thought. But for now there's no need for body work on the car, so something which would bolt-on would be ideal.

I guess that I was simply fishing for someone who might know of a light sourced from another car / model which would fill in the large center fender hole, and yet be large enough to cover the smaller pair of flanking mounting stud holes. Something which could be easily removed should some hypothetical future owner want to go back to OEM

    Anyone?

The Euro car here was federalized with some unknown brand/type that is not as thick as US Stock, and also longer. i debated going back to Euro buttons, but i have to admit most US drivers NEED all the help/side reflection to see the car they can get.

If anyone knows WHERE these side markers came from please let me know.

The euro single small hole is smaller than the US hole not to mention the screw holes on either side and is 3 inches (I believe) further back closer to the wheel. i forget the exact measurement because I went through this a while back on mine when I moved them.

Yes, height is about the same, length is longer, but thickness (from body outware) is skinnier.

Just an idea - there are a lot of suppliers of small LED lights of various colors. get the dimentions needed to cover your holes and get to searchin' on-line. good luck.
