The wifes Focus Estate looks as though someone has taken both a hammer and a sheet of sandpaper to every panel. Last year I paid ChipsAway £600 to tidy it up - they did a great job but I am back to square one.
I'm thinking of investing in an orbital polisher to make the car presentable. Last year Homebase had them for £19.99 - I've not seen them since.

Any recommendations on what one to buy or how much to spend?
What 'mops' do you stick on it?
Do you simply you use normal polish (I use Autoglym)?
Are there any do's and don'ts?

    Thanks chaps...

    Hi Andy,
I use an orbital sander on all my cars (inc the GT4) with a lambs wool pad. They really work well, simply was and polish (autoglym) and let the polish harden. Put the polisher on the paint work and fire it up; it takes all the effort out of it.
Afterwards you bung the pad in the washing machine.

The Porter Cable is just about the best you can buy and is used extensively by most pro detailers. Menzerna RD3.02, PO1.06F and PO85RD is used by most pro detailers as the polish. www.polishedbliss.co.uk is a good source of info and for buying the product. No affiliation with them just use them and had good service and advice.
