So I just checked my app and it showed me the normal 3 pics from the production line!
My F8S car went 90 the week of May 25th, achieved 91 on July 5th, and went 94 yesterday (US delivery)! Soon, I'll collect it and then it is off to my performance/PPF shops. There were some price changes on the invoice (e.g., base price $306,405 USD; Rear Boot Carbon Fiber from $2531 to $8437). congratulations, thanks for sharing the pics & well the worth the wait there - you must be super happy ... i went 90 just a few days after yours, but have not received any status updates since then...hoping it will be 91 sometime soon in the meantime enjoy your beautiful F8S, are you doing a full PPF? what performance mods are planned .. good luck
I really like your build, Bernie. I don't believe I've seen that interior selection before (blu santorini with cuoio?), but it looks dynamite against the blu corsa exterior. Prepare yourself for a lot of compliments, and congrats!
I will be placing a full Capristo exhuast on the car with 200 cell sport cats; full exterior carbon fiber (I purchased all the pieces aftermarket); Novitec lowering springs and wheel spacers (10/15 mm); full PPF and ceramic coating; wraping the A-Pillars and roof in Gloss Black; built in radar detector and laser diffuser. I probably will not get the car back from my performance shop for three weeks.
That is some good luck on the shipping timing! She must have come out at just the right moment to hit the water and get underway. Congrats! Can’t wait to see more - have seen lots of really well done gloss detailing, think it will look super sharp against the factory colors you’ve got there. Really nice! Always love a LaFerrari photo bomb too. Cheers
Looks Fantastic !!! My build is identical except for the rims. It's great looking at a finished car in those colors. Keep the pics coming as this uplifts me for my future delivery. Enjoy in good health. Good luck to all.
I have already bought some new OEM F8 directional spoke wheels to replace the standard wheels. I'll take the standard ones and have them recoated in matt grigio to serve as my winter tire wheels.
Anyone know when the last boat is scheduled to leave Ferrari before they close for August? I am status 70, last 10 days, hoping to make it! All things considered I have been lucky, timeline has been great. 8/21 Order 10/21 10G 2/22 10R 6/8/22 Vin 7/6/22 status 70 Zero Photos! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Am I reading that last part right? Carbon option tripled in price? Seems excessive? Any other carbon options sky rocket like that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes, you read my post correctly. Needless to say, I was VERY surprised by the development. Fortunately, I haven't noticed any other changes reflective of that bump. I haven't figured out if the spreadsheet my SA provided me when completing the spec was wrong or if the part price truly skyrocketed. Every pricing spreadsheet I ever looked at reflected the part (CERB) at $2531USD.
I went back to my notes and I have CERB at $8,437, however I did notice a number of other options at exactly $2,531 (titanium exhaust pipes, racing seat lifter, Matt Grigio wheels, AFS). This is from a MY21 F8s price sheet. More importantly though, how are we loving the carbon rear boot trim? [emoji16] Edit: I’m wondering if perhaps the carbon is less on F8t maybe? Besides the dealer just totally messing up the price guide, I’m not sure what else might’ve gone wrong. But either way, she’s a beauty, can’t wait to see more and hear how much you’ve enjoyed once you get the opportunity.
Lol after I read this it throw me into a tizzy, but I figured it out. CERB is two different prices for the spyder and the coupe. The 2531 is a much smaller piece for the coupe vs the very large piece for the spyder. So I don’t believe there was any increase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, your information would suggest I was given some inaccurate spreadsheets (which does not make me happy). However, carbon fiber rear boot looks awesome and that does make me happy!
It is inaccurate in the available spreadsheets - my dealer told me it was the incorrect price summer of last year (I was ordering a 2022 spider).
Agreed, the carbon boot is less on the coupe than the spider. How is everyone seeing the itemized options? Mine just says “other options”.
$37,000 of my selections were captured under “other options” (e.g., Blu Corsa paint). Most of my options were listed out on the invoice. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you. Yes, I just checked the boot carbon was 2531. However, this is on the coupe which has a much smaller piece. I believe what you paid for the boot carbon is correct for the spider and has not increased. Either way, the boot carbon looks great, especially on the spider. Drive in great health!
Hi Bernie, Great looking car! I'm interested in knowing more about the aftermarket CF. I wish I would have picked a few more options when I did my build. Thanks in advance! Dave Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Dave, Hi. I purchased my pieces from three vendors (i.e., MyRicambi, Exotic Car Gear, and SForza). The quality for all three is great. Plus, I get the look I desire at a much lower cost! You generally do not reap any resale value for CF. So, I always wince at paying "list" for options that are generally cosmetic in nature. My usual plan is to only purchase aftermarket CF pieces for exterior and engine options (things that might get dinged up or discolored from overheating). (I have swapped out paddle shifters in the past. But, any other interior CF option I buy is always OEM.) The bottom line is that my process saved me over $30,000 USD on CF options for the F8S. For example, here are some items I purchased for the F8S. The price in the left column is the Ferrari list price and the right is what I paid aftermarket. (It is important to note, some pieces are "covers" that go over the OEM piece and others are full replacements.) I have my performance shop install all of the parts. Front Bumper CF Insert (S-Duct) $3375/$1225 CF Side Air Splitter $3712/$1350 Engine Covers in CF $7931/$2815 CF B Post Trim $3712/$807 CF Headlight Bucket $3375/$1225 CF Lower Spoilers $4219/$1526 CF Rear Diffuser $11812/$4500 Italian Flag on Trunk $1181/$150 I always keep the original OEM pieces and provide them to the dealer when selling the car in the event someone wants to return the vehicle to its original configuration. I know my approach isn't for everyone. All that being said, it works for me! Here's wishing you a great Ferrari experience!
2 months to the day after I went status 90 (May 16), my car has arrived at the dealership. It was supposed to come last Saturday but the truck never showed up. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
