For anyone interested, my son's car showed up. Arrived Newark on the Vienna Express Nov 14th. Took about 4 weeks to get to the dealership.
Nice and congratulations! Mine left the factory on Nov 9th and I’m being told it is still waiting to dock With a delivery date in Jan as I’m on the west coast.
I’ve been at status 90 for just about a month, 11/23. Any input on how long you guys waited during this time? What info did your dealer provide once you were updated?
Just hit status 90. Getting closer! Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I've been collecting info from the various discussions/threads (F8 and Portofino M 2021 deliveries) ... I've been able to build the following table showing average transit times: 10R->Vin: 4 days Vin->20: 25 days 20->30: 4 days 30->40: 5 days 40->70: 15 days 70->85: 3 days 85->90: 6 days 90-> NAM delivery: 52 days I hope this helps.
I’m status 50 as of 12/6 but no pics have shown on the app. At what status did others get pics on their app?
I went 90 on Nov 7th and was told that the car is in Customs at this point. With all of the delays the dealer is saying a Jan delivery date. I just hope that the battery is not dead after 7 weeks without a charger.
Very nice Andy. I see you’ve taken a liking to the black tops. I won’t see the spider for a few months, which is fine by me. I went Scuderia this time around.
Status 90 since November 10th. This end-of-production photo will have to suffice until the big day arrives. Image Unavailable, Please Login
congratulations thats very similar spec to my order Is yours Nero Daytona - that picture should hopefully get you during Christmas day at least it is built
Was told by my dealer today that you cannot order the F8 / F8spider anymore - Is this correct ? same for SF90 (was going to order one) I ended up ordering a 296gtb.
Yes. the order books were closed a few months ago. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/f8-orders-officially-closed-off.650016/
I noticed that some orders the top of the front hood is in the plastic black piece but my actually came painted in the Nero Daytona which I didn’t spec but happy it came like that. Anyone else get lucky or know why mine came painted Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice! I hope I am as lucky as you lol. Still at 90 here since 11/23. The crickets are getting louder haha. I fully believe this is the hardest part of the wait.
It is a no cost option to get the Bonnet Upper Insert Black Matt (COLL), I did mine in Rosso Corsa, as I felt it changed the proportions, but I would not have done it in Nero. Gorgeous Car and Happy Motoring.
I specifically asked my dealer when I placed my order. There is a box they can check or not check to have the hood (bonnet) fully painted. That didn't exist on the 488 or 458.
Obviously, 100% personal preference but I selected the COLL option because it visually shortens the hood. Additionally, without that option, there is a crease and depressed section in its place which makes it appear that something is missing. The good news is that if you have that section painted body color and one day decide to add something that looks like a bonnet upper insert, you can probably add a layer of film or something similar to create a similar visual effect. You can't really go the other way.
If you like the classic Ferrari look of the long bonnet, as seen in the 458/488, etc. leave it in the same color as the car. If you opt for a more sporty, modern look with a shorter bonnet appearance, get the COLL option. This option is one I've only been seeing available in more recent models. I'm under the impression that being so subtle, this option it's seldom discussed with the client. This is why so many who don't know it's actually the COLL option, don't even know what to expect until there car arrives. Lucky for me, mine was selected with the option that I would've opted for regardless.
