Seems like the numbers per dealer are still pretty up in the air. Put a provisional order in, not sure what I'll do for full spec.

I spec'd my car 3 weeks ago. Problem is that the build sheet is still sitting in the computer. Still waiting for the factory to give my dealer a schedule and or build date for my new toy. At this point, even an October delivery may be unrealistic.

That was my impression also - not sure when we're really talking. Given I'm in new england, a January delivery isn't exactly a great plan :)

Chicago is no picnic in Janurary either. Just hope you have a heated garage like I do.

I specced a car at the Atelier during the launch in April. Knowing it would be Fall delivery (I live in Canada) I reserved an April '11 delivery date (should be the last car for Canada), but no specific date has been confirmed as of yet, unsurprisingly. I'd be amazed if having ordered the car in the last couple of weeks you could get it in October -- production is closed for August so they would have to make it in July to get it shipped to you in September and lead time is typically a few months at best.

But don't let me be a pessimist -- I hope you get it by then and you can always fly it over! I'm sure you are as anxious to get behind that wheel as I am (I just didn't want to get it and not be able to drive it for six months!). Car should be amazing -- what did you specify colour and options-wise?

I've ordered Rosso Fuoco with matte Grey roof, charcoal interior with red stitch, Daytona seats....

I little reminder of Rosso Fuoco from earlier this year. Great choice on a GTO against the matte grey roof. Congrats!

Since I'm still in limbo technically. I seem to have a lot of leaway before I need to finalize my build sheet. Still going back and forth on a few different combos and options. The longer this takes the tougher it seems to get. I'm still jumping back and forth on a few items and probably won't finalize my finished spec sheet till the factory gives me a date. Rosso Fuoco is gorgeous and the charcoal grey will really set it off. Best of luck on getting your GTO in time for some summer fun.

Great colour choice. I had RF on my short list as well but passed on it in the end. RF and stone chips ... very difficult combination. By no means do I wish to influence your choice with this reply because I think RF will look stunning on the GTO. Great choice!

Is this Fuoco color one of the 23K "special" paints? I'm thinking right now of Corsa, with a Nero roof (as opposed to the Matt Silverstone default).

Speed Racer - I'm in the same boat, can't really decide yet! So many choices, and then of course there's the being denied special requests process to go through.

I was going going to order mine in Fuoco with nero roof and here that was an 11k option.
However having driving a Fuoco 458 a few times I'm just not certain about the colour - in bright sun/lights it looks great but otherwise it looks a but dull IMO

i was undecided for a long time between the RF and Grigio Silverstone in matte (they had one, not in matte, at the Modena launch event and my HGTE is Silverstone, but again not matte) but I think the car needs something more bold -- it's not subtle and therefore needs a colour that compliments it, so ultimately I've gone for the RF.

And it's only $20K more (so really, how can I refuse?)!!

    Sounds stunning!

IMHO, the regular Nero roof will age more gracefully than the matte colored ones...

Sounds like torture to me! Have you considered getting it delivered to Florida or other temperate climate? Rent a house to enjoy it, then drive it home in the spring.

Bold choice but it will be a stunning car. No doubt. Looking forward to seeing pics of it :)

That is what I've been told to expect.

Been on holiday for several weeks and haven't looked in so its good to catch up...obviously, a bunch has happened--with honest to goodness deliveries starting and great new videos/reviews showing up on the board. I really enjoyed Evo's work--Chris Harris is as good as it gets in the business now.

Also, note to "M-Individual--just a fantastic car, video and write up..congrats on your great fortune of being one of the first. And, what a treat to ring it out a bit at Spa!!

    To this thread's point:

spec'd at Atelier in April, my order went 10 red in mid June and is set for production during Sept...certainly in my sweaty little palms by November 2010 :)

After many, many hours of consideration...and several possible combos, settled on nero daytona with matt grey silverstone roof and carbon mirrors. Passed on the "'signed" engine cover but after seeing M's pics, I'm a bit sad I did.

Also passed on trying to get a special option for "black crackle" instead of red on the intake plenium----given the time likely required, I didn't feel it was worth an uncertain wait for production and delivery.

RoC: grey standard wheels and giallo calipers/S2 interior stitching etc as offset to nero/charcoal interior, etc. Interior package is full leather with alcantera additions in order to round out/set off the carbon/tech bits in the cabin.

Should be nicely aggressive but with suitably subtle side as well--heck, I might even be able to drive it to the symphony in black tie with my lovely, well dressed wife--and after I plunk down the check at delivery, she'll surely require being "even better dressed" than she is now :)

Thanks very much. Saw one just off the line at the factory and then my host at atelier offered me a close up inspection. No matter how I tried to fall for another option, I kept coming back to this combo...now if I only had a high def, 1080i pic of the car to put on my 25 inch hd desk top screen to make the wait easier :)

Congrats to everyone on this thread on your coming soon GTO's, its beyond my imagination(well allmost anyway) how exciting it must be to be able to get one of these beauties. I look forward to seeing pic's of the cars as they eventually arrive. I hope someday to have a 550 6 speed car to relace the Dino. Don't know when I will be able to do it though. Again congrats and enjoy!

    Cheers!
