Hello everyone. As some of you may know, I asked some of you guys in a previous thread if it's worthwhile exchanging my coupe for the spider. I am! The thing is, my friend from Florida was looking around for a coupe, so I offered to sell mine to him for a good price.

I've already got the production slot and my Spider will be due August 2014. Very excited and the wait is killing me.

Here is what my Spider will feature:

    Ext. color: Giallo Modena
Int. color: Nero with contrast yellow stitching to match the ext.
    Optional 5-spoke diamond rims
Brake calipers in Giallo Modena to match the ext. color.
Anti-stone chipping (to keep the resale value and overall condition of the car good)
    Rear parking sensors
CF front wing, underdoor cover, rear diffuser
    The obligatory Scuderia Ferrari shields
    Suspension lifter
    Fully electrical Daytona seats
    iPod connection/bluetooth
    Navigation system
CF dashboard inserts, driving zone, central bridge

Again, thanks everyone who helped me decide. I hope it's a good one! I'll post pictures once it's delivered next year!

    Nice spec!

If you can, get the rear camera. Very useful IMO.

And if you ride overnight at high speed, don’t forget de FLS.

    I’m spending your money! :)

The rear parking camera seems like a good idea. Thanks for your input Migas. Always appreciated! :)

    my advice to you is:

don't get the factory option anti-stone chipping film! I did and after 1 month I decided to take it all off and reapply a new film.

why ? the factory option has a very poor alignment with body panels, it leaves a very visible margin on the edges. doesn't look pretty at all! it comes in 20 pieces but it only covers half of the bonnet ! it is very visible ! save yourself money and trouble and do it after market. i did the whole car with xpel ultimate afterwards.

Thanks for this, I was contemplating the film but wasn't sure of the install quality.

Oh, that's quite a bit surprising. I expected factory quality to be exceptional especially if it's an optional extra. Thanks for the advice though. ;)

I think that job is not done at the factory. Dealers do it locally.

Very nice, coordinated spec. If I may suggest something, consider the standard seats, especially with the yellow stitching. I had the Daytonas in my 430, and the standards in the 458 seem more appropriate to the modern nature of this car.

    Cheers,

    Ron

My dealer said the factory provides the film "in a tube" and dealer installs it.
They recommended against that option and have done locally.

It is not clear to me whether you ordered the LEDs on the steering wheel. In my view, that is the MOST essential optional.

Aug 2014? That's over a year away. It's hard to get excited at this point. Should be a torturous wait.

I would avoid the carbon fibre (except LED steering) unless you really like carbon fibre and plan to keep the car long term. I would go with the painted sport wheels (not diamond) and the lifter only if you have unusual inclines or declines to contend with.

I like your bold choice of yellow ext., stitching etc...

Sound awesome! At first I did not like the diamond cut wheels but now I really like them.

    Congrats!

It is quite a bit of a period to wait, but nevertheless I'm excited as I just got the confirmation for the build yesterday. Why do you think I should avoid the CF? IMO, it looks nice.

Thanks for the tip Ron! I'll look further into this. But I heard that the Daytona's are more comfortable than the standard seats. Can anyone confirm this?

The seats are actually exactly the same in shape and firmness. The Daytonas are just an insert. Having had the Daytonas in the F430, I notice no difference in comfort. YMMV, so it may pay to sit in them at the dealer.

I recently saw shields which were carbon with the horse in silver.

I would think that on a yellow car this may look better than the standard yellow shields - just a thought

Great combo. Did you consider the triple yellow pearl paint? Expensive, but amazing. Regular giallo looks very nice of course. Love the diamond finish rims too.

Can you post a pic of that? I'm interested to see what it looks like. Surprisingly, I've never seen one before.
