    Can it be done?

I now have 5 pages worth of apps and things are getting a little messy. I'd love to be able to organize applications into folders by category.

    Thanks in advance.

hmm...so jail-breaking it is the only way?

Strange that Apple didn't think of a solution themselves.

Yes, so I´m sticking with 4-5 pages of apps, I´m not comfortable with jailbreaking my 3Gs!

I agree! Folders would be nice! Also, I wish we could have sub-folders in the photos section. I have hundreds of albums, so having the all show in one list wouldn't work.

What I do is spread things out so that not every page is full of icons. For example, my home page has only the top 2 rows filled with the basic features... then the next page is the setting and basic things I don't use, then another page of just games, etc.

If you jailbreak it you can download categories and put everything in folders. One of the best apps and much easier to navigate...

Trust me when I say, once you jailbreak - you will wonder why you didn't before...

Just got an iPod Touch running 3.13 SW load. I read that jailbreaking 3.1.3 was little more risky - any thoughts on that?

Also, for a newcomer to the Touch - what's the best process for jailbreaking?

If you are on 3.1.3 - you really should not Jailbreak. This patch from 3.1.2 actually was not anything but to stop jailbreaking. The creators of PurpleRain (latest jailbreaking made easy software) will most likely wait until 4.0 comes out to jailbreak that version. No need to expose apples holes until a real major release.

Also there is no way to go back to 3.1.2 from 3.1.3 (unless you really know your stuff). So those who have upgraded, are best to wait until the next major release of the OS = 4.0 - which is scheduled in the next few months.

Well that sucks - my Touch came with 3.1.2 pre-loaded and I went ahead and upgraded like and idiot. I should have known better :)

OK - I'll wait. Just getting my hands around the Touch anyway, so I am in no rush.
