    What was the OEM car cover for a 1978 308GTS? Was it the standard satin stretch cover that comes with the new generation cars?

    Probably not, the Red Satin vogue kicked in much later say 328, which of course would fit an early 308 "loosely"...

    I have had red satin covers for my 308s, of course but they were sold as a 328 cover.
    If you go later, the 348 moved the mirrors forward, and past that the newer cars are much taller (and longer) than the 308.

    I sold all my "Satin" ones and use a generic from O Reilly,,,seriously.
    But my car sits in an open garage and besides the fact it's tiny, take a look at this....

    ...and here...both cars within 20' of mine...

    Anyway look for a red Satin 328 version, I think Superfomance sell them, around $750

    CoverKing also makes a very nice version of the 308 cover, very form fitting.
    I think red is an option with them also.

    The Guard Dogs at the Body Shop ate that one.......:D :D
