Hello fellow Ferrari Owners! I'm a brand spanking new Ferrari Owner soon to take delivery of my 1992 348 TS. 18,000 miles original paint and interior in wonderful condition. ( two owner car) It is Rosso Corsa/Cream and the mats in the car are Black with Red Prancing horse which is fine, but they are also monogramed with the name REGGIE! Since my name is David, that just won't work. As I need to replace the mats, I wanted to know what the original mats would have looked like, colors and images. Any Ideas? Any suggestions on which is better Black or Cream to match the Cream carpets? I was thinking Black for durability with Red Border and Prancing horse logos. Thanking you guys in advance David Curro 414-915-8379 [email protected]

I think the standard mats had no decor and were one solid color. At least that's the way the 355 was (as told to me by the parts guy at FoSF).

The original mats on my 1995 355 are matched to the rest of the carpet (black, in my case) and have nice rubber heel guards. The originals, if they are available, are insanely expensive, so I stored my original ones and bought aftermarket ones from Ricambi America. They don't have the rubber parts where your feet go, but I don't spend that much time looking down there anyway.

I actually have brand new, never used, original tan colored floor mats for a 348. The problem for me is that they are for a right hand drive .

I had original black floor mats in my 92 348ts when I bought it and frankly I wouldn't be in a hurry to get a set of originals. They are basically rubbish..! This is my driver’s side. You can see the quality moulding of the foot section. You even get cavallino’s moulded into the corners …. :)
The carpet itself is very thin with rubber nobbies moulded into the underside to stop them slipping on the cars carpet but the mats so thin they had a habit of wrinkling and moving about anyway. I would be surprised if there are any out there other than the ultimate purists who have not bought nicer better quality after markets alternatives.

I have a 93 TSS with original red mats in poor condition.
The price I was quoted for new Ferrari mats was $972!!!!!
I went with the Lloyd mats through Ricambi after looking at some samples. The quality looks great for a much lesser price.
I should receive them in a few days and will let you know.
Another option is European Floor Mats (through eBay) if you want some personalized ones (prancing horse, model type, etc..).
They did a great set for my 575 and the fit is perfect.

Every now and then I think about replacing my mats with the originals, however I never looked into what they would cost. Ferrari can keep them for that price. Talking about adding the F tax on a product.

Thanks everyone for your input on original mats. And Edward thanks for the suggestion to change my name to "REGGIE". I talked it over with my wife Cathy and she said: " Not so much"! I did contact European Floor mats and have a nice set coming. Thanks again! David
