    My car has black 'Cavis' wires on it now, I thought they were supposed to be red like a GTB. Just got off the phone with Italian car parts and they say the GT4 wires they sell are black. So 308 GTB/S = red and GT4 = black?

    my 74 308 gt4 wires are red.

    I will probably replace them with red ones one day, but why fix what aint broke?

    Mine are black, but they're certainly not the original wires.

    I'll have to look when I get home, I have no idea what color mine are. But I think they are black, surely not the originals.

    I believe mine are balck, but they're in a green sleeve.

    What would be nice is an engine picture from a 1970s car mag. or factory brochure that shows the engine compartment. I know I saw many 308 gt4s at the FCA national meets in 77, 78 and 79 but I cannot remember the plug wire color.

    Series 1 car = red plug wires
    Coil wires have the sleeves on them.

    I found a scan of this photo on the internet. I subscribed to R&T in 1979 and an original should be in a box somewhere in my parents house.

    Looks like the plug wires are red based on this B&W photo.
