I recently bought a 1985 308 QV berlinetta. This car as 11000 miles on it, and sported its original Goodyear Eagle NCT tires which were fitted when the car was built. As part of a major service and getting the car ready to drive, we removed those tires and fitted new Michelin Pilots. The car also has a Goodyear Eagle NCT spare which has never been on the ground as far as I can tell.

While these tires look good, particularly for their age, and hold air just tine, they are no longer suitable for driving. What they WOULD be suitable for, I would imagine, is for a car which will be shown in concours. I don't think many 1985 automobiles have their original tires or even the original type ones. Goodyear Eagle NCTs are not made anymore, sadly, because if they were, I would have bought another set of them instead of the Michelin Pilots. So I have four original tires in very good shape for sale. If pressed, I might part with the spare as well.

I have no idea what to ask for these, or even if anyone would be interested. I am in MD, so any deal for them would have to include someone picking them up from me (either Annapolis, or Manchester, both in MD) Shipping them would be a huge bother even if someone else paid for it.

Please PM me if you are interested. I don't plan to show my car, they are not much use to me, but they were far too clean to just throw away. Happy holidays to all.

Oh, and I also have the original cam belts. They come with the tires.

Just kidding. That would be carrying originality a bit too far, wouldn't it? But, yes, no one had ever changed the belts- 34 years old. Thank God the engine didn't explode.

Coincidentally, a friend also just bought an 85 QV with 11,000 plus and still has the original tires still on his car,
Probably still has the original air :D

That was a mask intended to ward off plague. I don't think it worked very well, though.

85 GTB? Sounds like you just got an unicorn. Congratulations. There are like 50-70s of them produced? I know a friend that has one red/tan. Anyway, I m interested in the NCTs if you are willing to take them to the shipper. I m in Cali. I will pm you for more info. Thanks.
