    Good afternoon everybody,

Wanted to pose a quick question and see if anyone knew anything about this stereo that was installed in a 275gtb/4 that we're working on. The car itself was very very original, but we're unsure if this stereo is original or if its just a period retrofit. So far we haven't had too much luck figuring it out, though we're also working on a 275 short nose that had a very similar unit installed as well. The head unit itself is a Blaupunkt, I don't have the model number handy but I can look for one if its helpful

Basically just wanted to know if anyone knows this unit or has information regarding its (un)originality.

    Thanks,

    -Prescott @ GSJFerrari

For what it may be worth and while I don’t claim to be an expert on 275s nor their radios, that appears to be US market radio and if the car was originally intended for US delivery, I could see this having been in it, if not from the factory, at least when sold to first owner.

in my experience in the 1960's most radio were a dealer sold and installed option on European cars , as our FM band was longer and the SW/MW frequencies not used much here, Dealers sold Blaupunkt and/or Becker radio and installed them to customer request

Many MY 1969 365 GT 2+2 US version cars had factory installed Blaupunkt New Yorker radios.
